  1. Bit busy with the pesky kids playing up tonight , but i’ll get some big screen game time over the weekend. ( big screen currently occupied by Frozen 2 at the mo )
  2. the EA friend thing doesn’t seem to let you add ea friends on the same platform ? is that how it’s suppposed to be ?
  3. i’d really appreciate some autolog friends for this please ! Help an an old man out and add me on ps4 michaelemm , thanks !

Nearly got the world tour out of the way, and my ridernet thing is still pretty empty, i thought more people on my friends list would have got it by now. I would be glad if anyone could add my gamertag (michaelemm) so i can be easily defeated by your scores and sklils!
  5. We've had to go away visiting friends in far places for a few days and I really miss this lovely game already. Seriously, I don't think I've felt like that for years. Can't wait to get back for a some good ol' fashioned OCD action
  6. Can't wait for this to arrive- the timing couldn't be better for me, I've got a couple of weeks off between work projects. My wife pointed out that I haven't even turned the wii on since last year (must have been mario galaxy 2?). Then she sang some mario music at me, to prove her point.
  7. Well, i just finished it and it's, y'know, kind of OK and instantly forgettable i suppose. The 'Break-me-up Before You Go-Go' tech is fantastic though. Very glad i rented it in an unexpectedly quite work week, there's only about 7hrs of single player entertainment in the main game though. It's no RF Guerilla, in terms of size, enjoyment and free-form destructo- mayhem. I think my main problem was the feeling of being trapped in a low ceilinged cave for about 70% of the game.
  8. Yeah, the 'dispatching soon' thing seem s a bit off. My console and games all arrived (in separate deliveries) early this morning, but amazon still says they're going to arrive on monday. Time travelling jiggery pokery, i reckon.
  9. Well, mine just turned up from amazon (although it still says 'dispatching soon' on the site!? ). No games yet, but i'm hoping they'll come along in the 'real' post later. Will I be able to resist opening it before i do all my important work today?..... *tearing card open sound**
  10. Had to order this in at my local shop, they'd never even heard of it. I only had 30mins to spare so just a quick go, but it all seems really lovely. And the music! It's just so good and, in the bit i played, filled with little jazzy phrases that react to what you're doing, or something. Surprised to see other people on my friends list are playing it also, but i'm a bit worried it's going to go largely ignored.
  11. Hats off to everyone! Here's a couple, when i really should be working. http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/1958/contra3turtlegobang100.jpg http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/7969/gngwoo2.jpg
  12. Can't resist it at that price. I'm sure it wont be my GOTY, but it just looks so sweet.
  13. Having just this afternoon completed FF13 i've had my eye on this, but all the reports of the terrible tutorials had me worried. CosmicGurus's explanation don't make it seem difficult at all. Thanks! I think the hand-holding of FF made me forget i've got through thousands of hours of incomprehensible JRPGs in my life. Might see if i can get a cheap copy now, zavvi sold out though
  14. I'm loving the slow trickle of new things to do and additions to the battle system, ( about 10hours in) it really suits me layering on the complexity. It's funny to think that at the start of the game I struggled to comprehend all the numbers and stats flying around in a battle, and now it's all second nature. Oh, how naive i was in those early days! It's the first FF game that i've been worried i wouldn't enjoy, all ood so far, so i just hope the rest of the game stays strong enough.
  15. That was the most hilariousness i've had with a demo for years Amazingly slick presentation, and i loved the "early 70's" line at the beginning. Pre-order Rocked!
  16. Still loving this, it's like a cheap(ish) greatest hits or something. And I'd forgotten how much the bonkers music is part of the game for me, The '8-bit' remixes of some of the tunes are just super sweet.
  17. yeah , i think so, i actually cant remember where i ordered from, just saw a good price and a shop name i recognised, and *BAM!* ordered it.
  18. well, mine arrived this morning (the cheap 17.99 deal ) and i'm happy. The best thing about katamari is it's one of the few games my wife is nuts about. A few months ago she even told Boris Johnson, (the famous mayor of famous london town) that his name badge thing at some fancy event "looked like a katamari", while pointing insanely at it. I don't think Boris is a fan of the roll'em up though.
  19. Just spent a whole £1.19 on the iPhone version, pretty much to get a better feel for it before I go for the Live version at some point in the future. Its very compulsive and just the puzzler I'm looking for, but, crikey, I hope my scores improve - can only get about 6 to 8000 right now.
  20. Ah good, i thought only the first monkey island worked with scumm. Actually, i meant to say: Arrrrr good, i thought only the first monkey island worked with scumm.
  21. This game is just great! The bit where you have the is now up there in my top 12 game moments ever! Hilarious. I dont think i'm that far into it (24% according to the save), but judging on what i've played so far, i really hope they HD the others, geez, i'd be happy enough with the job of redrawing it all myself. Did the others come out on mac (and still playable on OS X) at all?
  22. Only been playing it first time ever for 2hrs now, and it's very funny (and puzzley) isn't it? Didn't quite know what to expect seeing as i've never touched any of the Monkey Island games before. It's kinda relaxing, and the brain-sparkle you get when you work out what you should do is like cracking a zelda dungeon (well, that's the closest thing i can think of) I reckon if i'd played it back in the 90s the original graphics would have conjured up enormous character. The new art is mostly nice (lovely BGs) but the animation could benefit from smoothing out.
  23. Cool, downloading now. Extraordinarily, i've never played a Monkey Island game before, despite being aware of it's heritage and that, so i hope i'm in for a swashbuckling treat!
  24. Finally the whole linking artes/blast things/overlimits/etc has started to become much more , i dunno, graceful. The boss battle i just had went so well as a result. I totally kicked his cel shaded behind in what was effectively 2 moves. Once again, If anyone does download the ps3 demo, don't be put off, the 360 demo was awful and doesn't do the game justice one little bit.
