  1. What difficulty are you all playing on? I had it on Give Me No Mercy but I kept dying to the first big lizards you meet so I've turned it down.
  2. Yeah that was me, I was right at the beginning and I didn't really have the timing down, I've played a little more this morning and starting to get it now. I remember absolutely hating the opening of the original too and then getting right into it and I can feel this happening too. I'll be playing this all weekend I hope.
  3. Thank you for writing and sharing it!
  4. Excellent Hit Points from @Nate Dogg III this week. I’m hoping the couple of hours I spent with this the other day get better as I really didn’t enjoy what I played so far, sounds like it does in all the posts here which is good.

Well here I am in Dublin going to see them once again. After London I wanted to experience them one last time as I have doubts they’ll tour like this again. Can’t wait!!
  6. Nope, the dodge is total fucking shite. How is the Demons Souls/Dark Souls combat system still the aboslute best in class after 15 years?
  7. Oh I have a shield, that would have helped haha! Man my memory is pretty poor but I don't remember the game telling me to press l1 for shield.
  8. I've only just started and maybe I'll get used to it but the dodge seems pretty poor especially against the tutorial boss which is what just took me about 5 attempts on hard.
  9. I've just pre-ordered from Base but I'm going away for a couple of days on Thursday so will be playing it over the weekend when I'm back, nice to have a new single player game to look forward to.
  10. I'm rewatching S1 and it's better than I remember though I still have a couple of episodes left.
  11. Base.com have the physical version for £62, anyone seen it cheaper elsewhere?
  12. Yeah whilst it is complete and utter trash it is violent and entertaining enough to enjoy if that is what you want and it is far more cohesive than the first series, I enjoyed it more because of that.

  15. This is perfect for hang over watching, it’s like hotline Miami the series. I love Orli Shuka too, if anyone hasn’t seen Hyena go watch it he’s great in it.

Ok man for sure no worries Yes getting back to Brighton on Sunday night is a bit iffy too but doable, and going by the sets they’ve been doing in the states it’s a solid 2 hours of Pavement!

So I definitely have a spare ticket for Sunday night now if anyone is interested let me know, I don't want to see it going to waste. I will also be attending a gig on my own which I feel a bit of trepidation about especially as I'm a small dude and I'm in the standing area and I would like to get somewhere I can actually see the band. Anyway, any Pavement fans fancy going let me know.
  19. It's funny I was thinking that about 10-15 minutes in but by the end I was so engrossed it didn't actually matter all that much, I think it takes time to adjust and yeah you need to be in the right frame of mind, this isn't mindless tv. Saying that I would definitely prefer his voiceover and soundtrack, I wonder if it was to keep the expenses down, maybe licensing the music costs money?
  20. It’s very good imo. Yes I miss his narration and soundtrack but he is still weaving a narrative from all the footage and in amongst the grand narrative of a highly ambitious empire falling apart at the seams are little personal stories showing the individual human cost such as the lady who stole the man’s bag (her embarrassment and shame even after bringing it back to the man spoke volumes about the ethos of communism and how it had failed the people, it was very sad) all the way through to the more well known stories such as the hero’s of Chernobyl. He’s a fucking genius film maker and historian, a national treasure.
  21. Yeah this is really good, very dark and grimy. Evan Peters is great as is the directing by Jennifer Lynch (David's daughter).
