  1. I've been trying out the ROM's method via the jailbreak but for some odd reason I noticed the Bomberman games don't let me go back to the menu via the default of select + down. Other ROMs I've tried haven't had this problem, is there a reason for that? I haven't tried changing the configuration yet to see if that makes a difference but wanted to check if anyone else has come across it with anything else?
  2. So what would be the best way of playing this on a CRT? I would only use it for the purpose of the Super Scope.
  3. It's already Jailbroken but I wanted to go through my old presteen games that were packed away for the past 20 years... Plus yeah, why should I go all that way to play ROM versions of them? The battery backups are surprisingly still intact! I could use a SNES Mini for that route if I want to go full ROM. Eventually I want to be able to try my old Super Scope on an older TV, would this HDMI to Scart adapter be good enough? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NAT0W2Y/?coliid=ITX969RO8JN40&colid=34Q2H76XQNZ0B&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Also I'm finally able to get the backlogue of Japanese titles such as Mario & Wario and Mario's Super Picross that I've long wanted to try and get for my collection. I can't believe how well some have been kept in boxes on Ebay at reasonable prices.
  4. Thanks, yeah that's what was happening. I managed to find the PAL and NTSC option under the hardware settings which solved it. It looks like I'll have to use PAL as the standard option as some games give you a warning that the game won't work which took me by surprise. I guess most games are just trial and error?
  5. Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm trying to figure out what I need to tweak for Super Mario World, it tends to flicker when Mario moves across the screen. I'm using a PAL cart and the only option I tried so far is 1080p 50hz but that didn't make a difference. I don't know the options well enough to see what else would do the trick. I'm certain I saw an option to change to PAL and NTSC but I wonder if that was on firmware 4.9 before I updated it.
  6. Completely agree with Paw Patrol, it's just so bland and cheaply made especially with the localisation of the voice acting. You can tell it has too much of a US dialect which feels so out of place when you hear it in a different accent. I know this is also a bit ironic to say for someone who's a child of the 80's who grew up with shows purely based in toys, but there's a sense in some of these types of shows where you can almost feel like it's a blatant toy show. I reminds me in the same way with Butterbeans Cafe.
  7. I'm currently in the queue at the moment but kept getting the same checkout errors before.
  8. Isn't Android 17 technically half human or something according to the Japanese origins? My wife who's Portuguese also said the same thing according to the translation in Portugal as well.
  9. Just another quick update I've been trying the ShadowCast on my GPD Pocket 2 just now...whilst it's not exactly the best thing to try on considering the screen size is about the same it seems to work pretty good. I've yet to test it on their software but I tried it on Windows 10 Camera app and OBS. I used Genki's Covert Dock as a docking device simply because I've currently moved house and it's what I currently have accessible but it's a good combination one the less.
  10. Speaking of Genki! Their Shadow Cast device arrived today in the post. Haven't tried it yet but looks very straight forward.
  11. Thanks, I do curveballs as standard anyway but yeah I think it's all down to the timing as sometimes you get them doing their animation midpoint just after you've thrown it which is annoying.
  12. Any advice on getting successful catches on raids? I use the PokeRaid app to join raids such as the Latias and Latios raids that are now happening. I've just wasted 2 remote raid passes on each one because I got nowhere with catching them. I use the golden berries and get mostly 'Great' catches but to no avail until I run out of balls. I notice this happens often if I try to get new ones that just come out during the week. I find a second attempt sometimes works if I try another day for example. I have a local friend who said it works better when you are best friends doing the raids in which we are and I think that does hold true from what it seems. I think you also get more balls as well? I absolutely hate wasting remote passes on situations like this.
  13. I did something simialr this evening but not for hosting, I just didn't want to waste anymore remote raid passes . Although I did do my very first host raid during the week with the PokeRaid app, it was initially intimidating but worked out really well since they've updated the app to work as an overlay. Got this beauty today though:
  14. It's pretty sweet, haven't had any problems with it so far luckily. I don't use it that regularly as it's more of a travel companion but I'm still very impressed with it.
  15. I was going to post this too, got the email from Genki as I got the Covert Dock and I'm tempted to get this even though I hardly capture anything, but I like the idea that this can work on any HDMI device other than just the Switch.
  16. It was this one which has typically sold out now: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07F7S54DY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It was very straight forward to do, it came with instructions with very small images though. They also link to Youtube videos so I would recommend checking out a few. I wanted one that would make use of the dock's LED light and most of the USB-C port parts.
  17. I know I usually go on about the docks yet again but I agree the Genki dock is great and really useful as a travel companion. Since the last time I sold off my Skull & Co. Jumpgate dock as for some reason it stopped docking and went for an official dock. I then decided to buy one of those aftermarket shells to make the official dock smaller which worked out well. I like it uses HDMI-CEC to auto-switch over which I notice most of the other docks don't seem to incorporate for some reason.
  18. That's a shame, I love the K-ENT theme.
  19. I always thought No More Heroes was a perfect game for waggle controls, and it's just as great on the Switch. I struggle to play it via the non-motion way as I'm so used to motion controls. I've noticed some of the soundtrack has changed slightly though? You used to hear the K-ENT music when you would go for an assassination mission but it's changed to something else. I've also heard the "Kill or be Killed Mix" also being played in some scenes which I only remember from the sequel.
  20. This crossed my line of vision when I was on the Google Play Store just now: They did such a good job fitting the hair to his face!
  21. I bought it when it was still on their Kickstarter, it got delayed due to Covid and eventually arrived around mid March I think it was? It looks like they're now selling them on their site: https://www.genkithings.com/products/covert-dock
  22. I agree, buy official or go with the Genki Covert Dock. Until recently I was using the Skull & Co Jumpgate but for some reason it's stopped docking my Switch but it still works fine as a standard USB-C port for my laptop to show via HDMI which I don't get. I'm using the official Switch USB-C power cable to power it. I've been using the Genki Covert Dock for the past week and it's been absolutely fine, the only downside is that it lays flat but that's not too much of a big deal. To me it's ideal as a travel companion because of the interchangable travel sockets and it's the size of a travel plug. The other alternative I would say is to buy another Switch dock and convert it into a smaller case which I only realised you could do recently. I just won a cheap official dock on Ebay and ordered this which is what I'm currently waiting for: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07F7S54DY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  23. I kept meaning to look for a thread on this. I always see this constantly on the BBC1 HD previews while the little one is having her bath ready. Recently binged it on iPlayer and thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad to see a second series is coming!
