  1. I'd be very interested in what people have to say about that. I've only ever made my own gravy on a handful of occasions and while none of them turned into disasters, none matched what I'd hoped for.
  2. I've seen all of the classics I've wanted to watch. There are a few I've never seen, as I have no interest in them such as the Studio Ghibli films. In terms of popular culture the obvious ones I'm missing are the Harry Potter films. I've never seen them, or read the books.
  3. I saw Desperate Journalist the other night and they were fantastic live. Strongest live performance I've seen in a while by a relatively new band. One of those bands who really elevate themselves above their recorded material when playing live.

The one thing that karaoke game told me was that despite using various PlayStation controllers for close to twenty years I still can never remember which button is Square and Circle.

I've done some upgrading to my fighting styles. From what's been said here I think my issue in completing that section was that I didn't know that I could equip/buy drinks to replenish my health. I've probably played too many games over recent years that either recovered health with time, or auto-replenished when you collected an item. From what's been said here this is more old school Resident Evil style go to menu and equip health item to recover. I don't recall that ever being mentioned in the game to this point. It also doesn't help that I'm a cack handed muppet who without fail hits the wrong button every QTE mugging that guy comes at you with when you try to open a door in that headquarters battle.

I'll try that a try and give it another go. See if I click with the game at all. I don't think I've seen anything about health in the game. Just the guy who teaches you about levelling up your fighting skills.I think I assumed health auto-recovered, as I've not had to glance at the health bar before that particular encounter.

I picked a couple of things up like that, but thought they would have auto replenished health.

I was playing on normal and to give the game it's due on the nth ass kicking I got it asked if I wanted to play on easy, which I selected. I still couldn't get much past the bloke waiting to hit me with a chair blocking a hallway. How do you get drinks? Does that replenish your health?

I can't make it past that section to see if it improves. That and having had to replay that section over and over I've lost any will to load the game up ever again.

I'm giving up on this one, not my sort of game at all. If you can even class this as a game. I spent about three hours on it. Was bored senseless by the endless text and nothing else happening, other than some awful Simon says button mashing karaoke thing. Then got to a leave the family part of chapter one and got killed about ten times with the endless enemies it throws at you and no health to pick-up anywhere with added QTE take half your health every time you navigate to a new room. I couldn't be arsed with trying to beat any longer that and just turned it off. Biggest mistake in buying a game in a long time for me.
  11. They need to drop the Matt likes industrial machines joke. It wasn't funny the first time. It's less funny each week they repeat it.
  12. Difficult to take on the volley. Great chance though. Header might have been the better option.
  13. Well Pullisball should have been two nil up if they hadn't wasted two sitters. We're lucky to be in the lead in this one. Hopefully we can play better in the second, as that first half was chronic.
  14. If they go down the million options route I'll probably stick to the single player too. I could hold my own in the first game, but the likes of the suggested COD barrage of options and kill streaks and all that sort of stuff would put me off even trying the multiplayer. Battlefront worked for me as it was a good simple pick up and play game that you didn't need to spend your life playing to not just be cannon fodder.
  15. The trailer looks good. I actually enjoyed the first game and will go against those wishing that this goes down the Battlefield route, which is far to complex and time consuming to learn for a casual player like me. Keep it simple and with a decent single player it'll be a sale for me.
  16. So you're comparing suggested RRP to games being sold below their suggested RRP! Then even note a game not released yet is being sold below it's RRP.
  17. It debuts on Sky Atlantic in the UK on the 18th, so a couple of days behind the US schedule. Although a couple of times Sky have dumped the entire series on their On Demand service from the get go.
  18. I love all four of the home console Uncharted games, never did play the handheld game. It's between that and Zelda for my favourite gaming franchise. This does feel like it could be the end of the series. Personally I'd kill for a young Sully adventure.
  19. Really looking forward to this. Glad I bought the deluxe edition of UC4, so this is already bought and paid for.
  20. That walk was really annoying, which is a fair achievement for a walk. I think it was her trying to be robotic.
  21. That sums up my thoughts on this one too. I've never seen the original, but found myself feeling falling asleep during this. It's biggest flaw for me was that I didn't feel any real connection to anyone in the film. I wouldn't call it a bad movie, but I certainly couldn't recommend it to anyone.
  22. That is deal killer. Here's hoping there's some corner depth in the draft, as right now we must be as weak as they come in that position.
  23. While he's unproven to say the least, the lad has a bit of pace and would seem a better like for like option to Mane than anyone we tried when he was away at the ACN. At the start of the season just about everyone said the squad was far too shallow and that could easily be the thing that costs us a top four spot.
  24. Those stats are amazing. Also there are a few teams that desperately need good cover corners and have had the obvious weakness in that area targeted. See any Packers game last season.
  25. Wasn't that just a one year deal with possible extensions though. They've thrown money at short term deals before, but I'd be surprised if Sherman isn't looking for a longer deal. He's still got a good few years left in him.
