  1. Shame about David Warner, really liked him in load of different things. I saw him in Waxworks a few years ago, and he was having a great time. He was in so much stuff, and pretty much always excellent in it.
  2. He was great in Godfather, Misery and Rollerball, plus so many others. Really good character in Way of the Gun and if you’ve not seen it, Thief is excellent.
  3. If nothing else, this has a stellar cast. It reminds me a little of a Wes Anderson movie too. Russell's first film in seven years. From Comingsoon.net “A fascinating and richly intricate tale that brilliantly weaves historical fact with fiction for a timely, cinematic experience, 20th Century Studios’ and New Regency’s original crime epic about three close friends who find themselves at the center of one of the most shocking secret plots in American history," Joining Bale, Robbie, and Washington are Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Andrea Riseborough, Taylor Swift, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola, Rami Malek, and Robert De Niro.
  4. Joe Turkel, who amongst many other roles, played Lloyd the bartender in The Shining and Eldon Tyrell in Bladerunner passed away at age of 94.
  5. I don't know if it would be classed as shocking but I remember it having a profound effect on me. The Boys from the Black Stuff, when social services come to take away Yozzer's kids. That has stayed with me since that one and only time I saw it, likely 40 years ago? Even before having kids, it still hits hard thinking about it, and now with kids, I do my utmost not to think about it.
  6. Flash Gordon: First ever cinema visit and it was amazing. Saw it in a cinema at Quinton, I must have been eight or nine. Loved every minute. I can't remember the film from that screening but I do recall the forest trial. And oddly, that we had to park on a random street. I think I saw Empire Strikes Back after that, with an intermission! Then Superman II, with my dad. I was completely sold on cinema after Flash Gordon, but the next two movies just reconfirmed how incredible film was, and remains.
  7. New Video - All the main Alien movies, along with AVP 1 & 2 and Alien Isolation - in trailer format. Alien and Aliens still look (and are) incredible.
  8. One that completely caught me off guard. Not shocking in a violent way really but Major film-ruining spoiler - To Live & Die in LA It is an excellent film, and well worth watching.
  9. The final moments of Battlestar Galactica Season 1.
  10. Damn shame. Loved him in Tremors and Remo was fantastic fun. There should have a been a sequel to that. Great talent.
  11. Can't believe I forgot the opening abattoir scene in Blade. I must have shown people that a 100 times on my new fangled DVD player.
  12. I always liked the pool room fight from Out For Justice as well.
  13. I don't know what the rest of the film is like, but Luc Besson's Anna has a great scene in a restaurant
  14. Atomic Blonde is an excellent shout.
  15. 16. I think it was that or Babbs Windsor’s Carry on Camping bra malfunction! Anyone is welcome to take my go.
  17. It’s Holiday on the Buses. About two minutes after this scene, the girl in the picture runs for a bus and her breasts pop out of her top*. Stan gawps at her and crashes the bus, resulting in him and Jack getting fired and ending up working at a Butlins style summer camp. He gets a cheap holiday for the family, but while waving to Arthur and Olive, Arthur, bike, sidecar and family get run off the road resulting in their luggage ending up in the river. Later they end up painting their own chalet and blowing up a toilet. * As I understand, if you did frame by frame advance, you could actually see her bare breasts for around 8 frames. Too far and you got back to Stan’s leering face. It could take some work to get the pause correct. So I was told. I’ve never seen the film.
