What the hell? That's far too young to be gone.
I liked him in everything I'd seen him in.

Just announced that Raquel Welsh has died, aged 82. Passed away after a brief illness.
Loved her in the Three Musketeers.

A ridiculously petty one for sure but, having just been reading about John Wick 4, it reminded me of the frustrating things in part two. Now I understand they needed things to happen like they did to progress the story but I found the two points annoying as hell and against how the character had been set up.
It made no sense for Wick to break into the place to kill the target in absolute stealth mode, but when the deed was done, to casually stroll out the front door through a crowd of people and bodyguards. He could have just gone back out the way he came, no one any the wiser. It would have made more sense if the target had some kind of heart monitor that Wick was unaware of, that got triggered when she died and alerted guards to come running.
The second thing was the whole 'I need a gun / get this man a gun' scene. This is one the deadliest assassins in the world, he could easily killed half the people he faced with his bare hands, and took any number of guns from them. In fact, if I recall he barely uses the gun he gets from Fishburne before switching to one taken from someone else (isn't the one he was given faulty or misfires anyway?)

I think Infinity Pool is out on the high seas.
Just saw the trailer for the new reboot of Children of the Corn. That's a lot of footage for a first trailer.

Intruder - Not seen that since it was released. I always remember Fangoria having a close up shot of the band saw scene on its cover.
Has anyone seen Infinity Pool? I hadn't heard of it but saw it was directed by Brandon Cronenberg.
James and Em Foster are enjoying an all-inclusive beach vacation in the fictional island of La Tolqa, when a fatal accident exposes the resort's perverse subculture of hedonistic tourism, reckless violence and surreal horrors.

I really liked him in the first Warlock movie.

Wow! That looks fantastic.

Director Mike Hodges passed away on the 20th Dec. He directed the likes of Get Carter, Croupier and FLASH GORDON.

This is crap news. He made some of the best games I've played. And his love for arcade machines and the like was amazing
A sad loss.

Looks like Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam is also out - comes on the day it was revealed that reshoots on the movie cost $70M.
Quote“James Gunn and I connected, and Black Adam will not be in their first chapter of storytelling. However, DC and Seven Bucks have agreed to continue exploring the most valuable ways Black Adam can be utilized in future DC multiverse chapters,” announced Johnson on Twitter. “James and I have known each other for years and have always rooted for each other to succeed. It’s no different now, and I will always root for DC (and Marvel) to win and win big.”
Johnson also thanked the fans for their support during this time.
“You guys know me and I have very thick skin — and you can always count on me to be direct with my words. These decisions made by James and DC leadership represent their vision of DCU through their creative lens. After 15 years of relentless hard work to finally make Black Adam, I’m very proud of the film we delivered for fans worldwide. I will always look back on the fan reaction to Black Adam with tremendous gratitude, humility, and love.”
It also looks like that while Wonder Woman 3 isn't happening, Gal Gadot might still be Wonder Woman. Unless he's saying that Gadot walked away rather than being booted?

She was great in Drop Dead Gorgeous, which is a movie well worth seeking out, as it's excellent.

Re: People throwing up at Teriffier 2 screenings. Like Yakumo said, I think if you went to see the film expecting Halloween or Friday the 13th, and saw that opening scene, you might well feel sick. I had wondered after seeing it yesterday how it got a cinematic release in the US, but found out just now that it's been released unrated.
If you're seeing something unrated, you might have a better idea of what to expect, but then again if you're an adult, who wasn't as film savvy, you might not even notice it was unrated prior to buying a ticket. It's certainly making a splash though, it was originally meant to stay in theatres for a week, but it's been extended by a week, after each successful weekend.

Terrifier 2 - Well it's up there with the most brutal, I'll give it that. Feels like something that pushes things so far, that it expects you to laugh at how far it's taken things. That it's so ridiculous that you can't possibly take it seriously. I didn't feel like that at all to be honest.
It's an exercise in
SpoilerSuffering. And more suffering. I don't think anyone just gets killed in the movie (maybe one person), everyone is beaten, stabbed, sliced, smashed, gouged and just generally mutilated. And then mutilated even further. Then, when you think the scene is over, it carries on with even more. And the film seems to go out of its way to show that even after all the horrific torture, the person is still somehow alive. Just so you know that they're still suffering.
I wouldn't say I enjoyed the first, but it had its moments. But I didn't get on with this one at all.

Yes, Terrifier has some excellent practical effects, especially in that one scene. Like Timmo said, a kill you'll never forget.
I think Art the Clown is a good modern villain. I am interested in seeing part 2, but won't rush to see it.

Is Terrifier any good? I’ve been reading about the sequel and wondered if the first one is worth a go.
Acting is pretty poor across the board, but there's a some really good effects work. Lot of frustration from the stupid things people do (or don't).

A lot of great reviews, though. Do you think the first is worth watching before watching the second? Seems to be pretty widely panned. The acting by most of the cast in the first one is pretty poor, but it's a good introduction to the pure brutality of the main character.

Bloody hell, Terrifer 2 is 150 minutes long!

Loved this as a kid - ultra violent
I'm also positive that this one was pure trash but it's stuck with me.
