  1. I really liked him in the first Warlock movie.
  2. Director Mike Hodges passed away on the 20th Dec. He directed the likes of Get Carter, Croupier and FLASH GORDON.
  3. This is crap news. He made some of the best games I've played. And his love for arcade machines and the like was amazing A sad loss.
  4. Looks like Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam is also out - comes on the day it was revealed that reshoots on the movie cost $70M. It also looks like that while Wonder Woman 3 isn't happening, Gal Gadot might still be Wonder Woman. Unless he's saying that Gadot walked away rather than being booted?
  5. She was great in Drop Dead Gorgeous, which is a movie well worth seeking out, as it's excellent.
  6. Brendan Fraser - Scrubs
  7. Re: People throwing up at Teriffier 2 screenings. Like Yakumo said, I think if you went to see the film expecting Halloween or Friday the 13th, and saw that opening scene, you might well feel sick. I had wondered after seeing it yesterday how it got a cinematic release in the US, but found out just now that it's been released unrated. If you're seeing something unrated, you might have a better idea of what to expect, but then again if you're an adult, who wasn't as film savvy, you might not even notice it was unrated prior to buying a ticket. It's certainly making a splash though, it was originally meant to stay in theatres for a week, but it's been extended by a week, after each successful weekend.
  8. Terrifier 2 - Well it's up there with the most brutal, I'll give it that. Feels like something that pushes things so far, that it expects you to laugh at how far it's taken things. That it's so ridiculous that you can't possibly take it seriously. I didn't feel like that at all to be honest. It's an exercise in I wouldn't say I enjoyed the first, but it had its moments. But I didn't get on with this one at all.
  9. Yes, Terrifier has some excellent practical effects, especially in that one scene. Like Timmo said, a kill you'll never forget. I think Art the Clown is a good modern villain. I am interested in seeing part 2, but won't rush to see it.
  10. Acting is pretty poor across the board, but there's a some really good effects work. Lot of frustration from the stupid things people do (or don't).
  11. Just checked, it's 138 minutes.
  12. The acting by most of the cast in the first one is pretty poor, but it's a good introduction to the pure brutality of the main character.
  13. Bloody hell, Terrifer 2 is 150 minutes long!
  14. Reviews for this don’t seem terrible. Not sure if that’s high praise or not.
  15. Final trailer. This looks to save you some time if you don't want to see the movie, as it shows most of it.
  16. Henry Silva - 95 - you might not know the name, but you'd know the face.
  17. Reading stuff elsewhere, there are screenshots that show this is coming for last gen as well as current. The leaker claims to have source code for GTA5 and source for an alpha version of 6.
  18. Such a great movie, I've come to like it more and more over time.
  19. Interview with Anderson about the 25(!) Year anniversary release. He admits (finally?) that he doesn't think a longer cut of the film would actually be any better than the film already is. He goes on to say that many think a longer cut would add more gore and horror, but in actual fact it would add more backstory for other characters. Of course, there would have been more gore and an extended video log section. As mentioned a number of times, the footage only exists in very poor VHS quality, and much of this is lost anyway. I'm not a fan of Anderson, but I do think Event Horizon is worth seeing, if only for the set design and the madness that is that video log. Not a bad interview. https://www.denofgeek.com/movies/event-horizon-paul-w-s-anderson-doesnt-need-directors-cut/
  20. Hell, he was even great in My Boyfriend's a Vampire.
