  1. Looks amazing. No so much the underwater sections as I generally hate underwater sections in any game, but the increase in animation on the character, enemies and surroundings. Wasn't a fan of Sony's exclusives on ps4 and horizon was the only one that struck a chord with me and ended up completing it twice on PS4. The big reveal will be how much different will it look on ps4 as this will be my only way at playing it
  2. I brought myself a 55 LG oled last week which does 4k 120hz. After using my PC to experiment with all resolutions and frame rates. My conclusion is 4k ain't worth the hit in performance and not much better than 2k imo and I'm sat 1.5m away from TV. As for 120hz, it is smoother, but no where near the jump that 60fps is from 30fps. Was trying all these variations out on re village demo on pc yesterday and my preference after all the testing was 2k 60fps with ray tracing on. Which tbh my series S runs re village at 2k 60fps minus ray tracing. If your looking for a reason to splash out on a new monitor, yeah go series x. If your happy with 1080 go series S is my opinion.
  3. Series S since Xmas. Absolute steel at the price. Been using it more than my PC with a rtx 2070. Game Pass is a great price for what it offers so have had plenty to play without having to empty my wallet (mainly Yakuza's) Love the proper console type size and look to it and is super fast booting in and out of games and navigating round menus.
  4. Played half hour on my Series S on my new oled. Anyone who says series s isn't a capable next gen console play this. Looks awesome at 2k 60fps. Tried ray tracing mode, but didn't really make any noticeable visual impact to warrant halving the frame rate. Really nice use of hdr to. As for game play, enjoyed by what I played upto yet. Only thing I would knock it on is shooting werewolves felt like sponge bullets. Can't wait for the final release
  5. I tried Prey twice now. Still can't get on with it. Big sci-fi fan and nothing drew me in with this game. No variety in enemies, boring combat and weapons. Story wasn't that good either. Bioshock is on another level compared to Prey. Shame as I loved Arkanes Dishonered series.
  6. Downloading Star wars Squadrons on pc game pass now, can`t wait to try it on my quest 2 Also saw on Resetera that Evil within on PC Game Pass has been updated alot from the steam version with higher frame rates, first person, fov options and more. Might have to give it another go.
  7. Truly is a great time to be part of the Game Pass Ecosystem Microsoft have created. The amount of titles they have put on Gamepass this year has been exceptional upto yet. Working my way through the Yakuzas, with Doom Eternal on the side on my Series S. Also with having a RTX 2070 at my disposal, have just started Prey on PC Game Pass to with being able to run it at higher frame rates than xbox currently. With the amount of games at your disposal now, you can pretty much sit back on any title your waiting for and either let it go cheap or wait for it to come on Game Pass (yes I`m look at you Immortals Fenyx Rising)
  8. Didn`t realise Yakuza 6 was coming so soon. Only just completed Yakuza 3 on game pass and got 4 and 5 to do on game pass next. Best get a move on
  9. Just completed it. Overall I enjoyed it, but the story wasn't the greatest and the pay of wasn't what i hoped. Even though the split worlds wasn't for everyone, I really enjoyed them and added another layer to the puzzles. There was technical issues with the game with optimisation, but with the game not coming from a AAA developer, I can be more forgiving and what they achieved was very impressive for the most part. I loved the art style in the spirit world to and the soundtrack. Its a shame they didn`t nail down a decent story to go with it. 7/10 for me.
  10. Been playing this on Series S and PC with cross save. TBH running it at max on PC with Ray tracing and comparing it to Series S, can`t notice much difference tbh. As for the game, its good but not the silent hill successor i was hoping for. The split world puzzles I`m enjoying, but the stealth sections are abit tedious. Still don`t get whats going on , hopefully will clear things up later on.
  11. Now thats how you start 2021! Can`t wait to go through the Yakuzas and The Medium

    Oculus Quest

Anyone got vrcovers new facial interface for quest 2 yet? Noticed they come back in stock. Heard mixed reviews on them. Can't always trust YouTube videos with vrcover sending out lots of free stuff.

    Oculus Quest

Just Picked up Pistol Whip. The pics and videos do not do this game justice. When reviewers say you feel like John Wick they weren`t wrong. This game is all kinds of awesome and gets you sweating like a pig to. Just done the classic tracks and about to start legendary tracks. Haven`t even tried 2089 yet. Looks like there's loads of replay value in this and very promising developers keep adding free content to like 2089. Well worth the cash.
  14. Just played through Hivebusters on Series S. Fantastic from start to finish. Rock solid 60 fps throughout and looked stunning on my 1080p Plasma. Load times? What load times and quick resume is spot on for this title to. If this is the sign of things to come for series S, it will have a very bright future. Also kudos being able to install what you need to save space.
  15. Done around 10 hours now on PC. Johnny silver hand has been introduced is where I'm upto. My thoughts are pretty much the main quest line is awesome, I can easily leave the rest. You have this massive city with nothing to do in it, I find the menu system aweful and outside the main campaign I'm struggling to derive any enjoyment from it. For me they should of compacted the playing area and increased interactivity. Overall still loving the atmosphere and story, just not digging the rest.
  16. That will do nicely, thanks.
  17. Got a series S for chrimbo, cannot believe how small it is. This is what you call a games console and reminds me of how consoles used to be size wise. Really is a top notch well thought out piece of hardware Microsoft have released here. The speed of it amazes me to and is on another level to previous gen. Getting around the store and menus are lightning quick along with the resume. Microsoft have exceeded themselves with Series S and storage wise is perfect for me as I don't have that much on the go at once. Anyone know if you can move around menus with your TV remote like PS4 if you just want to watch Netflix for example?

    Oculus Quest

As far as I know it is, but vr is on another level compared to standard version. As far as I'm aware there's nothing in oculus terms and conditions for refunds about finishing a game. You could easily clock it under 2 hours then refund it lol. I'm surprised they never added any extra free content to it like pistol whip has as its generated enough cash for them over the years. Tried population one on quest last week to. Shows alot of promise and enjoyed my time with it but the lack of solo mode kills it for me as I struggle doing multiplayer with mic these days with constant distractions around me. Got a refund no problem on it, will try it again down the line as battle royale with climbing and flying around is ace.

Beat saber is probably worth it, super hot not. I brought it on steam the other day, finished it in under an hour and refunded it. Great game but not worth the price imo

    Oculus Quest

Been hammering Quest on a daily basis over past couple of months. Overall love it as much as first day I unboxed it. Since I had it, played through Rez, Red Matter, Tales from Galaxies Edge, Saints and Sinners, Alyx, Lone Echo and currently playing through Wilson's Heart. Really are some excellent titles native to quest and even more so if you have a decent pc at your disposal. Just picked up Drop Dead dual strike in sale as I fancied a house of the dead style shooter as I miss the days of my crt TV and light gun games which vr has plenty of haha. Still got Asgards wrath to go through and Edge of nowhere so still plenty ahead. Anyone who says VR has no decent titles or is a gimmick hasn't delved deep enough into what's out there. Also got elite strap for Xmas, defo alot better than standard strap, will see how long it lasts lol.

    Oculus Quest

Red matter is ace on the quest 2. One of my favourite buys. They have put alot of effort into quest 2 version visually and easily best looking game i seen on the quest. Right amount of difficulty to the puzzles and very immersive. Only downside I would say is the run time. Think I got around 5 hours out of it. Still well worth the money though
  22. You can put your reason as anything, just as long at its under 2hrs/2weeks you aint got a problem on a refund. I refund stuff all the time just to try games out.
  23. Just replaying through episode 2 again on PC before getting fully stuck into alyx. Have just done an hour upto yet on it. Well I say an hour, but the majority of it was exploring the environments in awe of the amount of detail on offer. Its insane. The game is a god dam technical masterpiece. Cant wait to get stuck into it. I agree with MattyP, this is true next gen of gaming. Just a shame its out of reach for alot of folks out there.

    Oculus Quest

Just purchased lone echo at £15, Wilson's heart at £7, Edge of no where at £4. Shadow point is on offer on rift store at £8. Cross play though so can download the quest version to.

    Oculus Quest
