  1. Palace doing a Palace and following up a hard fought draw at the Etihad with a zero shots on target, zero corners performance against Southampton.

Southampton were decent enough, but far from the best side we'd played this season, I think we will struggle to put kn a worse performance this season.

Zaha apparently poked Ward-Prowse in the face at half-time, Zaha needs to grow the fuck up. (Ward-Prowse is a snidey cunt still)

Zaha woke up for a couple of minutes there, he is one of the most streaky players I've ever seen.

He's got the hump because he isn't getting his move, second half of last season when he came back from his injury and it was consistent brilliance game after game, but this year you can't even blame the 3 men marking him every game or the rotational fouling for his drop in form, he has a habit of being given the ball in the corner and stopping before trying to take his man/men on, he's having minimal success with this tactic and it really breaks up the rhythm of any attack.

He's been brilliant over the course of his Palace career but it's sadly time to send him on his way, the issue being that nobody is likely to meet Steve Parish's valuation.

Watching the City vs Palace game and the commentators reckon the VAR is wrong and it should have been a penalty. I thought the handball rule gave clear consideration for deflected inadvertent handball. Which is exactly what it was.

The City pressure is immense though. I'd be very surprised if they don't score.

    You jinxed us!

To be fair, we'd been getting away with daylight robbery until then, Palace being Palace if 3-0 up at the Etihad with 5 minutes to go I'd take a draw if offered.

Re. the VAR, it's so tough to know, I would have chalked it down to one of those things if given but I think that's a symptom of the inconsistency/lack of clarity on the rule itself.

  4. In other Palace V Arsenal news, some Palace fans nicked DT from Arsenal Fans TV's hat when we went to the Emirates earlier this season, and it was presented proudly on display in the Holmesdale stand today.

    oh boo hoo.

you're team are as big a bunch of cheats so I just don't get the poor little us, we're upholding the morals of the game defence.

its not 'whataboutery', you've been incredibly fortunate in both games with decisions and luck going for you.

Arsenal cheated and dived today, so did Palace - the league is rife with it and it drives me mad. Only thing that annoys me more is myopic fans claiming their team don't do it and boo-hooing when others do.

Faking a head injury isn't diving, Palace dive, Palace waste time, we aren't morally superior, my "poor little Palace" was a reference to your condescending "be grateful for your point."

This can't go anywhere really, best we agree to disagree.

There was diving all round today, and Palace were just as shithouse as Arsenal - take your point and be happy with it.

Absolute garbage, the level of head injury fakes and time wasting was embarrassing from Arsenal, the rest of your post is irrelevant whataboutery.

But I suppose poor little Palace should just be so glad that big old Arsenal deemed us worthy to gift a point...

whole game is riddled with it, Zaha seems like he doesn't care enough to bother but anybody who gets touched flings themselves to the floor - Palace aren't exactly blameless.

Think it was Meyer who just got a hand put on him by Sokratis and went flying back like it was a sonic boom from Guile in street fighter.

I don't have the benefit of TV replays (at the game), but Arsenal's shithousery seems worse than Palace's.

Milivojevic is out so who will score Palace's inevitable penalty today after Zaha goes over like an old lady on a frosty morning

It would seem Arsenal are doing enough diving for everyone.

Another VAR decision against Norwich. At least for a change the freeze frame suggests the right decision was made but again it's all a matter of where they arbitrarily decide to pause it. Zaha's foot is behind the ball so it's impossible to say where the exact moment of contact is. Roll it forward another frame and it would be offside. Whereas for Pukki's 'goal' against Spurs the footage is paused when the ball is already a foot away from Vrancic.

We (Palace) deserved nothing from that game and were utterly dreadful, that must make the VAR element even more galling from a Norwich perspective.

  10. Palace do the double over West Ham via an outrageously good late goal by Jordan Ayew.

My kids are going to have an unhealthy view of life as a Palace fan after this year, might not renew the season tickets and let then exit on a high!

There were reports of Zaha in intense friendly conversation with Potter after the game. Might be nothing but a move between our clubs isn't going to win him many popularity contests.

It wouldn't be as destructive to Palace as Chelsea triggering Nathan Ake's buy back clause and further decimating their defence though.

He's not been overly kind about you over the years, I cant see it happening myself.

As sad as I will be to lose him, we need to get on and build a less one dimensional team (and get some younger players in the team), given the healthy points position we are in (which will hopefully be better by mid-January), this might be the least risky time to let go, we can get a loan or two in to get through the rest of the season with a well planned rebuild in the summer.

Gutted that we didn't get 3 points out of Palace.

In terms of a crisp passing game with a plan and creating chances we were superb for the first 70 at least. Can't deny that Zaha's goal was a belter but onwards and upwards to a glorious 15th place finish at the end of the season.

Not sure why we didn't stick Murray on for the last 10 given that he's pretty reliable at scoring against Palace.

You really should have destroyed us, we were garbage until Hodgson brought Meyer on as a creative outlet to 'unlock' Zaha.

I'm not looking forward to the return fixture at your soulless plastic bowl, although if Arsenal are on telly the same night most of your new "fans" will be absent ;)

Palace's first half dreadful, this is going south quickly, 32% possession at home FFS...

I'd stick money on 2 - 0 Brighton, Dunk (twat) 49th minute and Murray in the 83rd.

That was a bigger robbery than the one at Tamara Ecclestone's house, Brighton fans must be fuming that they didn't finish us off in the 70 minutes we were utter shite.

Zaha playing well again now January is rolling around, I just hope we reinvest the money wisely...
