  1. I think Robbie is great - I really hope he sticks around, at least for a while. I have no idea how complicated running sessions for 8 people is but it’s Matt mercer - if anyone can do it, it’s him!

Ive also seen it confirmed that Liam and Ashley are indeed playing their ExU characters “permanently” - ExU was a bit of a back door pilot for them to test them out and they both decided they wanted to see how their stories evolved.

It's really surprisingly great for a licensed game. It's kind of like playing a VR version of The Last of Us.

I looked this up after you mentioned it (got it confused with another walking dead game that was meant to be bobbins, I think) and it looks great! Definitely keen.

  3. Essentially Nate is a small, petty man with extremely low self esteem, mostly as a result of his relationship (or lack thereof) with his father. He felt like Ted built him up and gave him value and station and he thrives on that and it’s gone to his head. I didn’t like his arc either, but in hindsight it does make sense, even if it’s not my cup of tea.

Lol no, it's gonna release on the original Xbox One and all variants of that machine, which is why it looks fun, but not exactly next-gen.

I still think this is a bad, bad move. This should be the next-gen system seller (lol if you can actually find one to buy), not some sort of hybrid release/

  5. You know how when Guardians of the Galaxy was first announced and most people went

And then people started saying it would be the first misstep for the MCU because no one knew the characters and it was going to be too weird but then the trailer came out and people went

And then it turned out to be amazing?

Well Eternals seems like the exact same thing. Except without the cool trailer to hype people up. Or the good movie at the end of it.

I cannot muster any enthusiasm whatsoever for this film.

  6. Hehe it’s fine man I’m only messing with you. I played PSVR a few years ago - the experiences were much more limited than now, obviously (well, not the psvr experiences, they’re still as limited oh ho ho) but I could definitely see the potential. The best experience I had was playing through resi 7 in slightly blur-o-vision PSVR and I admit a certain glee at “playing” the Batman VR experience.

I think it seems that for every Half Life Alyx there’s dozens of Creeds so it is an expensive outlay for potentially not a lot of return. I think we’re still a generation away from it being really great - if it’s allowed to develop that far.

That said…I do really fancy getting a quest and resi 4…

I've also done a fully professional Marvel VR experience in LA (where I had to wear a vest and gloves so it could track my hands properly) and had brief plays on other systems before, so whatever. That Marvel experience was also completely wire-free, but I guess that's a "shit game on a lesser system" too, right?

And nowhere did I say I wouldn't try it again, but whatever.

I had my first proper go on VR Saturday at a dedicated centre (so I had my own space to walk around in) and I have to say, I was very underwhelmed.

Overall, then, it wasn't something that I feel I would return to. I

You can see where the confusion lies…

Sad you didn’t enjoy it and have seem to have written off VR as a medium. But whatever.
