  1. Doomsday, ever since the womb, till I'm back where my brother went. That's what my tomb will say, right above my government; Dumile. Unmarked or engraved, hey, who's to say.
  2. Release date Announcement by Deep Silver Posted by Ys Net (Creator) 日本語はこちら Hello Everyone, Along with our publishers, Deep Silver, we have an announcement for the release date of Shenmue III. Our report follows with a comment from Mr. Suzuki. Announcement by Deep Silver: “ Deep Silver today announce that their upcoming release Shenmue III has been moved and will now release in 2019. The extra time will be used to polish the quality of the game even further, to the high standards it deserves and release the product in the best possible timeframe. ” Original Announcement: Deep Silver Comment by Yu Suzuki: To all of our backers, we are very sorry for the delay. After much discussion with our partners, Deep Silver, we have concluded that extending the release will allow us to deliver Shenmue III at its best. We promise to use this time to improve the quality of Shenmue III. We cannot thank you enough for your enduring support.
  3. Game of the Year A1. Total War: Warhammer 2 “Improves upon the original in every way. Each race’s campaign is subtly different and thoroughly enjoyable. A real “one more turn” game, and responsible for many ill-advised 3am sessions for me. Also, sometimes I like to build a huge Skaven army, load it in to a battle and spend a weirdly long time zooming in on their gross rat faces and imagine their oddly cute pink feet scurrying over the skulls of fallen foes. Real GOTY stuff” A2. Divinity: Original Sin 2 “Vast, well written and incredibly immersive. There is so much to do in Divinity and a system to support almost anything you want to do. The voice acting is fantastic and adds more life to the thriving world, and the writing is funny. AND it was local co-op. Amazing” A3. Assassin’s Creed Origins “Assassin’s Creed with sand. A phenomenally beautiful setting, new game systems and the best bits of other Creed games make this a brilliant prequel to the series. The stuff is nonsense mainly, of course, but what beautiful nonsense. The open expanses of desert are just as well constructed as the winding and gloomy tombs and pyramids, and I have enjoyed exploring the world (and indulging in photo mode) for many, many hours” A4. Horizon Zero Dawn “The combat against large groups of robotic dinosaurs is where the magic in this game lies for me. Switching between different weapons, aiming at particular parts of dinosaur anatomy, popping in and out of cover, heroically running away and finally dropping down on top of some metallic monstrosity to drive your spear through it’s motherboard is brilliant” A5. Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood “A really, really great Final Fantasy game. A superb story of rebellion and clashing empires, presented beautifully and building on the charms of FFXIV. It’s a shame that many will miss this as it is an MMO expansion.” Most Disappointing Game of the Year Z1. Mass Effect Andromeda Z2. Middle-Earth: Shadow of War Z3. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Z4. Destiny 2 Z5. Star Wars Battlefront 2 Sound Design of the Year S1. NieR: Automata S2. Horizon Zero Dawn S3. Cuphead Visual Design of the Year V1. Cuphead V2. PC. “It’s the best isn’t it really?” Publisher or Developer of the Year P1. Nintendo “I don’t own a Switch, but it’s clear they have had a year of note (to say the least). Best Supported Game (from pre 2017) of the Year B1. The Division “The support this year has made The Division the game it should have been from the start. A huge map, lots to do at the end game, and New York in the snow is magical. Particularly with all the small arms fire.”
  4. I should have been clearer. The cover layout is fine. It's the insipid, generic art that I have the problem with. Wouldn't it have been a lovely piece of symmetry to have a face wearing a VR headset or something in tribute to #1?
  5. Is the subscription cover better? This one is truly awful.

  7. But once you recognise the secret reason for the game changing booty physics, you will feel ashamed of your words and deeds.
  8. Hearts of stone is amazing. Like expansions of yore for big box PC games.
