  1. Yeah that irked me when I saw the trailer, I can’t believe the floors are that shiny in pit garages in real life.
  2. I got a white Japanese pc engine from Amazon japan with no issues but I don’t think uk amazon vouchers will work on the Japanese website.
  3. Working of home means I have had a decent 'gaming' PC from my work in my house for the last few months and into the foreseeable future. I've played a few games on it but I just find it less hassle and more comfortable playing in my living room on a console so I've got a series X pre-ordered.
  4. I don't think it's a case of anyone being fooled, branding does have an appeal/effect though. A tie up with Sega would imply some level of software support too for titles that are popular in the region, Yakuza for example. There are other example of this Daewoo rebranded to Chevrolet, I think VW group sells the same car under Seat, VW and Skoda brands despite them being produced in the same factory. I think a fair few people on here would quite like a new Sega branded console for the novelty, even if it is a Microsoft console under the hood.
  5. Probably for the Japanese market but M$ have shown a SEGA blue controller so thought I'd run with PAL/SEGA blue!
  6. I've just thrown this together quickly (and badly!) for fun!
  7. A little bit of hype building speculation for fun (which I accept is probably unfounded and not going to happen). There were rumours floating around a while ago about the series x being branded as a Sega console in Japan. Now I know these fizzled out and there were the new "M$ buying Sega" rumours which I don't think will be true but I have just noticed that pre-orders for the Series X don't open in Japan until tomorrow, a day after the M$ TGS presentation and the same day as the Sega TGS presentation. I think a Sega branded series X makes sense for both M$ and Sega.
  8. I did the £1 upgrade thing from a live account I've had since the days of the original xbox and had lapsed to xbox live silver (or whatever they call the free one) with no problem so you should be ok to use your existing account.
  9. Smyths had them listed at £159 for 1TB
  10. They seemed to put the S consoles up only after the X consoles had sold out.
  11. Maybe that's what currys queue system is doing, make people wait 5 minutes and telling them there are tens of thousands of people in front of them by which time they are guaranteed to buy it rather than hesitating about hitting the buy button? It would probably work!
  12. Got one from amazon at 7.59 using the smile trick I'd just spotted on resetera, hopefully they don't moan about it being a minute early!
  13. I’ve just tried this after really, really looking forward to it. I don’t know if i’m hyper sensitive to it but I found the bad frame pacing in Mario 64 really distracting and off putting.
  14. I've just received a dispatch text and email from Simply Games!
  15. Yeah if they are back compatible and you log in on the xsx using the same account you bought them for they will be there to play.
  16. I’ve just noticed this when I look logged into my simply games account, speculation or slip up?
  17. I've received an email from Simply Games this morning saying that they are expecting PS5 preorders to go live any day now so are providing the option of registering interest. I don't know if the are just preemptively sniffing for business or if retailers have been briefed in advance of Sony announcing a date and price imminently.
  18. No problem, the 2.4g set for original consoles from Amazon us will work fine on your SFC. The dpad on the 2.4g versions is meant to be improved too though i’ve not noticed much difference personally.
  19. Those are proper Bluetooth 8bitdo receivers but that pad won’t connect to them as it’s a 2.4g controller. 8bitdo offer two connection options Bluetooth and 2.4g despite using the same technology the protocols are different so you MUST get pads and receivers that match or they won’t work together. Bluetooths advantage is that it is more compatible with other devices, like the Nintendo switch or pc while 2.4g’s advantages are less lag, simpler syncing and they tend to be a bit cheaper. Both pads look very similar, I've attached some photos below, I hadn't even realised th
  20. Yeah I ordered one in SFC colours and one in US SNES colours to help justify the postage. I'm not sure you can use them on PC though, only things with SNES controller ports.
  21. If it helps I was able to order the 2.4g pads with snes receivers direct from Amazon.com with no issues at all. I was able to log into the us website with my uk account login details and Amazon calculate and collect any duties up from so there’s no extra fees when they arrive, i assume it would be similar for the Netherlands. They were a little slow to dispatch but delivery was fast when they did ship (and I had picked the cheapest delivery option).
  22. All downloaded so really looking forward to giving this a shot in my lunch break. I don't think I've played a flight simulator since the late 90s/early 2000s but I've been really excited and hyped to try this. A perk of working from home at the moment is having my beast of a work PC here so I can actually play the game (and on ultra settings no less!) It took me about 5 attempts to get the download started this morning though, I ended up having to delete some data it had created in the local data folder and run the game as admin to get it to work.
  23. I think they might but I haven't tried.
