  1. No, as long as you've done all the transfer stuff Hitman 3 contains the content from the other games as DLC.
  2. Button box has arrived from an Etsy seller and is now mounted on my wheelstand: Works perfectly although it's mounted upside down at the moment due to where the cable port is. I'm thinking about getting an L-shaped cable or adaptor so I'd be able to get it the right way up, which would solve the issue of the plug sticking out on the left of the box. Not sure I'll ever be able to use the latching switches in games, they only really seem to support single button presses.

That's really interesting, thanks very much Dave! I'd never even considered using the 60fps mode, but it makes sense it would give you more overhead and potentially a smoother experience in VR. I'll give it a go on AMS2 later and see how it feels Do you use the best quality or performance setting for the resolution? It's the setting that's right next to the refresh rate in the menu.

Off, my instinct is not to use it but maybe it's worth a try. I doubt I'll be playing it again (I've used the free trial, so no hassles if it doesn't work out) if they don't improve the VR performance, but I'll give TC a go if that happens.
  5. Wreckfest should 100% support VR too.
  6. Spent quite a bit of time with this over the weekend and it feels like it's really improved since I last played it. Lots of great mods available on RD too, mainly car skins but for me, racing against cars with real liveries adds loads to the game. So far I've mostly focused on various eras of F1 as well as the BMW Pro Car and the 70s Porsche RSR. Hoping to find some skins for the 60s Mini at some point. Some of the mods also come with real driver names although that's not the case with all of them. I've setup a custom championship for the early 70s F1 cars (Formula Retro Gen 1), using period correct tracks where I can. Qualified on pole for Kyalami and finished 3rd, due to a couple of errors and because I'm still working out pit strategies etc at the moment. Next round is Argentina (the Buenos Aires track @Valver mentioned above). I last raced this track in Grand Prix 3 around 20 years ago and, although a couple of bits felt familiar, it seemed way twister and technical than I remember. I just found some footage of someone playing the GP3 version on YT though and it is exactly the same track, just way harder to drive in the early 70s cars! Qualified 2nd though, so it'll be race day later

Tried to play this over the weekend but the performance in VR was horrendous on my system. Reading online I don't think the frame smoothing on it works very well, so if you get frame rates under the native refresh rate of your headset, you get awful juddering which makes the game unplayable for me. I was able to sort of fix it by setting the main framerate of my HP Reverb G2 to 60hz, but none of my other VR games need this and it's a pain to have to switch between the modes. Also, I found the handling impossible to get on with. I have no issues with single seaters generally in games, but the snap oversteer when you get on the throttle is just insane. No warning through the FFB before it happens and impossible to catch, especially in the F2 cars. Am I doing something wrong? Can this be fixed through setup?
  8. Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer FFB base with Ferrari 488 Challenge rim up for sale, £350 including delivery:
  9. FML New track by the same modder, Battenburgring, is also amazing by the way. Well worth a download from RD: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/battenbergring.51838/
  10. What are you racing? I can't see from the link as I don't want to login to steam on my work laptop. I can't attend, just curious/torturing myself.
  11. I've registered! With so much notice I can definitely rearrange stuff so I can attend a one-off event
  12. I think it depends on what type of games you're into. As a driving game fan VR seems completely essential to me, it's so perfect for anything where your avatar is seated, so you naturally can be too. I've played things like Beat Saber and Superhot (still need to try Half Life Alyx) but the vast majority of my VR time, which is hundreds of hours at this point, has been spent in: Assetto Corsa Assetto Corsa Competizione Dirt Rally 2.0 Automobilista 2 Project Cars 2 Richard Burns Rally MS Flight Sim Elite Dangerous
  13. It is amazing mate, so impressed with it! It's not actually directly compatible with the pedals/shifter though; if you look through the wheel rim on this image: You can see the USB box I have mounted on my stand to the right of the wheel, I use that as an interface for the wheel, pedals and shifter (the button box will be added soon) and that's then a single USB connection to the PC. So all of the devices are effectively separately attached and work independently of each other. Added bonus here was that the pedals actually worked slightly better (higher resolution) when connected directly to the PC than they would've done if they'd been connected via my TS-PC. Don't have space for a proper rig and this setup is more than fine for me; sofa is nice and comfy, if a bit sweaty in this weather Also, my seating position is perfect for my surround sound setup, so I can use that for the game and have crew chief (and you guys on the rare occasions when I can race) coming through my VR headset speakers
  14. Ok, this wheel is excellent! Just been doing some more driving in AC, testing out the Lotus 25 and Porsche 917K around Fat Alfie's newest track, Battenburgring. Absolutely fantastic, the FFB is incredible and I love the weight you can feel through the wheel. Details like the cobbles and curbs are so nicely conveyed too. Build wise the thing is incredible. I have the Moza R9 base paired with the CS round wheel and you can tell immediately they are really high quality, to the level it's hard to understand how they've done it for the price. Very weighty and pretty much all metal. The buttons and rotary dials on the rim feel great and the shifters are excellent too. The rim comes with pads to help quieten the shifters and also blocks which move the shifter levers closer to your hands, both of which I have installed. The quick release system is fantastic and I'd actually consider getting a formula rim if they release one in the same price bracket as the CS. Compatibility wise, it worked perfectly with AC and ACC out of the box. I had to apply a registry fix to get it to work with RBR (supplied on their website) and Dirt Rally 2 took a tiny bit of messing about too. Both sorted now though and everything is working really well. The Pit House software seems great so far and there are no drivers to install for the wheel itself. It's really easy to adjust settings on the wheel and you can do this on the fly from your mobile phone without even tabbing out of the game you're playing. I think you can setup different profiles for games which launch automatically along with the game, but I haven't investigated this yet. Fitting the base to my stand was really easy, as two of the screw holes on the mounting plate matched up with the base. You're supposed to use 4 screws, but the two I'm using are completely solid and the base defo isn't going anywhere. I did have to use a couple of washers to effectively increase the thickness of the mounting plate though, the screws that came with the base are fairly short but the screw holes in the base are even shorter. The base itself is tiny (excuse the mess/wires): It's left me loads of room to mount a button box to the left of the wheel, which will replace the buttons I've lost from the base of my TS-PC. Already ordered! It works perfectly for me on the stand, the position is really good and I'm not having any issues with rattling from the stand itself (nothing that bothers me anyway). You can defo feel the FFB being transferred down the struts and through the pedals, but tbh I had that with my last wheel and feeling curbs through your feet adds to the feeling of being there in VR! No idea about console support, I haven't seen any mention of it from the company though. Bonus pictures showing the rim in more detail and the wheel in place in front of my sofa:
  15. Finally got my Moza setup delivered! It's really impressive, how the hell have they managed to come out of nowhere and produce something this good?! I'll do a proper write up with photos later.... I now have a Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer for sale if anyone's interested? It's boxed and in good condition/working order.
  16. It's not I bought it from Abruzzi racewear who are the UK reseller for Moza. I had repeated reassurance from them that the wheel would be sent this week but it hasn't happened and I'm going on holiday today. I hope it'll be delivered to a neighbour before I get home but I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty concerned about my dealings with them. Feels like I've been lied to a couple of times this week now; I was promised by the MD it would defo be sent Thursday but that didn't happen.
  17. Yeah, I think I'd redo the cable routing before trying anything else. I also play guitar and a big no no is having power and audio signal cables running in parallel as it's a great way to cause interference. Having them cross each other is ok, but bundling them together is pretty likely to cause issues. Bundling power with power and signal with signal should be fine though.

Also, you'll get back in the GT3s and it'll feel like slow motion!

Do you know if issues like separate pedals not working have been addressed Dave? Defo up for giving it a go as long as it's playable with my setup!

Reflects poorly on who? I'm fairly sure the band couldn't give a shit what I think and the band is also substantially more than just Maynard. You carry on with the hand ringing. From my side I just find it odd that I've been a massive fan of the band for many years and I've never heard anything about this.

You seem a little obsessed tbh. Maybe you're upset you never got an invite?

I'll be on it eventually but I have the same pedals as you, also connected via USB, so not much point me getting it for now.
  24. Yeah it all almost seems too good to be true, but the reviews online say otherwise! I'll post in here once I've had chance to test it.
