Captain Marvel - Brie Larson to take the lead - March 2019

I remember reading articles saying that around the time of release and couldn't believe it but since then, it's been said it was mostly CG after all: https://io9.gizmodo.com/it-turns-out-that-visual-effects-actually-did-do-a-lot-1797755708

Batman: The Animated series and stuff

I’ve waited years for a HD release and was so chuffed to hear it’s finally coming but I think I prefer the softer look. At first I thought it might be due to nostalgia so gave it a few days and watched the video again but I think the older transfer just ‘fits’ better.
  3. I haven't bought something that I have no intention of playing but I will gladly pay full price for something I know I will eventually get around to playing, even if it's likely to be heavily discounted by the time that I do e.g. the Yakuza remasters on PS4. I've still barely scratched the surface of Yakuza 0, have yet to boot up Kiwami but will be buying Kiwami 2 at full price when it's released this month because I want to support these remasters and encourage having the entire series on one system.

Hobbs and Shaw (Fast & Furious spin-off)

Some sites have said she'll be playing Shaw's sister.

    M Night Shyamalan's Glass (2019)

    Maximus: Prometheus

    HBO's Westworld. Yee-Haww Co/w,bo.Y@@@ [FATAL ERROR]

Easily my favourite Westworld episode, and best TV I've seen in ages.

MCU Phase 4 and beyond - Infinity War spoilers no doubt

I think it was only four that had been shot in advance (all by James Gunn, around the time of GotG: Vol 2) so I would assume those have all be shown now. Of course, maybe it was only four that had been reported.

Avengers: Infinity War - April 2018

I'd love Mikkelson as Dr. Doom. Thing is, at the rate that Marvel are producing these movies, I wouldn't be surprised to see actors cropping up in major roles playing someone else entirely, similar to the Bond movies or the Star Trek TV shows. Marvel do have a little bit of previous on this – Laura Haddock had a small role in the first Captain America and was then cast as Star Lord's mum in Guardians.

    Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)

Nah, I reckon they all just have a massive barney.

    Ocean's 8

I think it's great. I do love a terrible pun.

    SNES Mini

I’ll add to the chorus of ‘ordered from Amazon Prime Now, it arrived and it’s so tiny!’. Good to hear that more NES Classics are being produced next year but I don’t really want another box under the telly. I’ve heard the innards are the same so is it possible to load NES games into the SNES?

    Film Noir Recommendations

Oliver Stone's U-Turn is definitely up there in terms of Neo-Noir.

    Blade Runner 2049

The Blade Runner short film was done by Luke Scott, Ridley's son. He's done a few of these kind of things now – he did a couple for Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. I found Leto's cadence distracting but otherwise, quite liked the film.

Films that make a great triple bill - but aren't related

Ive never thought of Shaun of the Dead as meta. Homages galore, certainly. Film4 are doing a British Youth triple bill on Friday: This Is England Quadrophonia Trainspotting
