  1. I got that too. I think it was for buying the '97 SE VHS at Woolies/Our Price or somewhere like that.
  2. The only token figure I remember getting was the wee Rancor Keeper. He was in a box. I liked trying to work out who the blanked out figures were on the back of some of the cards.
  3. He's obviously looking for bits that have fallen off of droids.
  4. I like the fact that the trailer has absolutely no Disney shit at the start. Let's hope they keep to that with the actual movie. If there's no Fox fanfare it should start with the Lucasfilm logo.
  5. Just buy the 2006 DVDs. They include the original OT versions on the second disc. They are fairly poor quality non-anamorphic Laserdisc transfers but would be easier than faffing around with even poorer quality VHS tapes. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Wars-IV-Hope-Limited/dp/B000FMH8UI/ref=sr_1_2?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1417313478&sr=1-2&keywords=a+new+hope
  6. If you listen closely I'm also sure that the noise Boyega reacts to is an Imperial Probe Droid from Empire.
  7. There's a documentary from the prequel era where Hamill explains how during filming of the OT Lucas always told him that sabers were heavy and should be swung as if there's some weight behind them. He joked that that had gone out the window in the prequels because they were flipping around the place with them. Perhaps Abrams feels the same way. There's a ferocity to the battles between Luke and Vader in Empire and Jedi that always seemed to be missing in the Prequels. The duels with Dooku in Clones and Sith especially have a weightlessness that sometimes doesn't feel quite right.
  8. I'm guessing there will be another 120-odd minutes where there may be new ships and ideas. Also Lucas filled the prequels with new ships and technology and everyone moaned about them not looking enough like the OT. So you can't win.
  9. http://www.theforce.net/story/front/30th_Anniversary_For_Caravan_of_Courage_An_Ewok_Adventure_161164.asp I'm proud/ashamed to say I own the double feature DVD mentioned in the article
  10. That was not a good trailer. I was looking forward to this but all the trailer did was make me feel trepidation rather than excitement.
  11. AICN are reporting that Scott has stated he won't be directing BR2. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/69608 So he probably will be.
  12. http://boards.theforce.net/threads/when-will-we-see-our-first-ep-vii-teaser-trailer-and-what-do-you-expect-to-see-in-it.50020622/page-94#post-51963647 See for yourselves. The blaster shots are practically the same.
  13. http://www.starwarsunderworld.com/2014/11/source-force-awakens-gif-footage-uk.html It's very similar to the shot of Slave 1 firing towards the screen in AOTC. That could have been used and modified.
  14. I like that it has the disclaimer "Fantasy scene"!
  15. He'll probably have his memory wiped in the third one.
  16. I thought that the dude sitting next to Jar Jar when they first get to Coruscant in TPM and go with the Queen was supposed to be a Bothan?
  17. I was surprised when I received the Bluray of The Desolation of Smaug: Extended Edition this morning to find that it has a 15 certificate. Looking at the fine print it seems the extra material has raised the rating. The feature is still a 12.
  18. I hope Eugene gets skull fucked by a walker at some point.
