    That’s a travesty 😞

I'd be cancelling my pre-order if I had one.

Are half the instruments missing or is it just that industrial gong kinda sound?

It's an exaggeration, it's the industrial gong kinda sound that's missing, although it does appear to be lacking reverb too.

  2. Edit:

There will be 30+ games at launch, including a free VR upgrade for Gran Turismo 7. Beat Sabre will be coming at some point.

There was some virtual world shite before that and some motion trackers shown, but not tied in with anything specific.

  3. All episodes will be on BBC Sounds next Friday

The radio drama "follows veteran Fourth Echelon agent Sam Fisher on a new mission, recruiting and training the next generation of Splinter Cell operatives for the National Security Agency's covert action division," says the BBC. "When a lethal assassin from Fisher's past returns from the dead on a mission of murder, he is thrust into a race against time as a sinister threat to global security is revealed."

Fisher is played in the series by Andonis Anthony, best known for also appearing in BBC Radio's The Archers, and the cast also includes Daisy Head, Rosalie Craig, Sacha Dhawan, Nikesh Patel, and Will Poulter from The Maze Runner.

The series is being written by Sebastian Baczkiewicz and Paul Cornell. Cornell is best known as a television writer, with credits including Doctor Who, Holby City and Casualty. He's also written several Doctor Who novels.

What the fuck! Twitter is a self destructing minefield and it’s hard to get a clear picture, but it seems legit. :(

Speaking of, he’s on Twitter everyday and always a welcomed note of sense in the timeline.

Variety has an article about it now. Short battle with cancer.

  5. It doesn't say how long the run will be, but it does appears they're aiming for social first and targeting a younger audience. I thought that's what they were trying to do last time, but there you are.

Now we want to take things even further. We want to continue to appeal to not just the nostalgic fans of the original series, but also bring GamesMaster to an even younger audience, people totally unaware of the brand heritage on 4.

This all-new take on GamesMaster 2023 would see us double down on the series’ success on social. Turning it into a gaming ecosystem on C4's social platforms.

This means we would still bring the entertaining gaming challenges, the nods to some of our most loved games and the unapologetic celebration of the very best of gaming culture, but we would be doing everything with a young, social-first audience in mind.
