  1. I think I might pretend that's exactly what this is. Like, it came out ages ago, but due to a weird series of mishaps I never managed to play it until they released the HD version 15 years later.

Is there any way to do that without losing my save games?

Not really, although I have two sets of joy-cons and they both have the same issue, so I think it's more likely something to do with the Switch itself or interference in my flat, unless I got really unlucky with the controllers I bought. Thanks, appreciate the offer - I think I'm more likely to send them back to Nintendo to have another look at, but will let you know if I change my mind.

My PC's not even in the same room. Or on the same floor. I really can't think what it could be other than a fault with the console - I've been emailing Nintendo back and forth and they're now saying I should send it in again, although quite what they're going to find that they didn't uncover the first time I'm not sure. I haven't. Does this involve opening them up and fiddling around with the insides? Not sure I'm confident enough to try that myself... Maybe I should just use it as a handheld. It works fine as a handheld.

For a beautiful 90 seconds or so there I thought that had worked, but it must have been a fluke as it's still dodgy. In general using the joy-con grip thing seems to help, but not quite enough for it not to be annoying still.

No, which makes it pretty confusing. I mean my phone has bluetooth, but it's not connected to anything most of the time. This maybe worked a bit? Like you say I think it improved it, but doesn't seem to have totally solved it. Thanks for the tip though. Thanks, I'll give the wrist strap things a go. The thing is the issue is kind of manageable, if annoying, when it's just me playing Zelda, but I can't imagine it being anything less than infuriating with a few people trying to play Mario Kart or something. I'm sure I read something about an adaptor for Gamecube controllers on the Switch, so maybe I'll just have to go down that route, but having to revert to 15-year-old controllers to solve the issue seems pretty mad.

Pretty much the only wireless device I have constantly turned on in the house is the router, so I'm struggling to work out what could be causing the issue. And why would it only affect the Switch (and not, for example, the PS4)?

Are other people still experiencing connection issues between the Switch and the joy-cons (both left and right)? Mine basically doesn't work unless I have a completely clear line of sight between the console and the controllers, which is just bonkers. I sent mine back to Nintendo to repair but they said there's nothing wrong with it, and I should get rid of my microwave and aquarium (or something).
  9. I'm genuinely considering upping my pledge to $300, even though this would clearly be a ludicrous way to spend my money.
  10. I think I might still have a Dreamcast in my parent's house. And I'm pretty sure I still have shenmue 1 and 2 there somewhere too... Strong incentive to go home.
  11. The way I see it is I've wanted to play shenmue 3 for 14 years and I'd completely given up hope on it ever being made, so if the man who made shenmue 1 and 2 says that will happen if I give him £18.50, and that the earlier I give him the £18.50 the better the game will be, then that's a risk I'm willing to take. At least then we've tried. I realise that's more money to some people than others, but if you're a shenmue fan and that amount of money isn't going to make a huge difference to you, I don't see why you wouldn't back it now.

    Resident Evil 6

I realise this is probably a ridiculous question, but how do you unlock the DLC in the Gold Edition of RE5? I completed it in co-op and assumed that would unlock everything, but nothing seemed to happen. EDIT: Wait, you download it with the free code that comes with the game, don't you... Oh dear.

But Resident Evil 5 co-op was brilliant fun. Why would anyone be hoping that it's not co-op?
  14. I thought this was great, and the ending was brilliant.
  15. Jesus Christ. They were basically completely note perfect, the crowd absolutely loved it, and my hands are still pink from clapping so much. I really hope they keep milking the reunion cash cow so I can see them again. Also, was a really nice touch.
