  1. Used this... Thanks so much, been trying to get a code for 2 days now. Cheers. If my code ever gets through i will post it here
  2. No worries I have a XB1 and PS4 so not biased either way. I had a 2nd controller for my PS4 so it was not too much of a inconvenience. Either way i think that both companies should have a better policy for failed controllers, especially as faulty pads seem to be more prevalent this gen. I think it took 10 days for Sony to get another controller to me, this was a week after the consoles release.
  3. I had to send my faulty ps4 pad back to sony at my own cost (UK), they dont do a courier swap for controllers.
  4. Nah, i had the sticky R1 issue before it became a known problem, i would have fixed it myself otherwise to avoid the hassle.
  5. Yeah, i returned my ps4 controller before xmas, had heard nothing after 10 days so contacted them. They could not advise if they had received them or not? Told me to wait a few more days then 2 days later a replacement controller arrived. So, no, dont expect them to contact you to advise they have your item/have sent you out a replacement, for the UK this was.

    Battlefield 4

Thanks mate, had the same issue and this solved it, appreciate your advice.
  7. Thanks for that, ordered (+1)
  8. Just use the link on the previous page that Mechamonkey put up. It links to the Amazon site, i ordered yesterday and it was dispatched today.
  9. Make sure you pick up the PS4 chat cable, assuming it does not come with it.
  10. I use TB XP400's wireless DD surround. I have 3 young kids so although i have a reasonable amp/speaker set up, i never really get the chance to use it. That being said, i actually much prefer the sound through my TB's and would recommend them to anyone. I also use them for all my tv watching on a sky hd box, so they get used every single day. Still in very good nick and hold a charge well. They are about 18 months old now, when i bought them they were the best part of £200 but i have just seen an refurb set on the official TB website for £41. If you want them for PS4 then you would have to buy the chat cable for £5. Other than that, i cant give them high enough praise.
  11. Elmo, thanks for the quick reply. I did call the number but it is going through to voicemail now. Anyway, i have ordered it from the Amazon link for same price/delivery time. Thanks to Mechamonkey for the link and info, been searching for this cable for much of the day.
  12. May I ask how much and also how long estimated for delivery please? also to Elmo ... Thanks
  13. Ok, hope it works for you.
  14. Honestly, not taking the piss here, are you sure you have the batteries in the correct way round, if you look at the flat silver metal connectors it has a '+ & -' on it, pretty tucked away. They don't go in the obvious way round.
  15. Just to bore Loki a little more (BTW great xbox defence force picture) taken from Astro's Facebook site "Microsofts decision to drop Dolby® encoding on their SPDIF output at launch does have ramifications for ASTROs products...." https://www.facebook.com/astrogaming
  16. From GAF Astro has this to say on the matter: "I've had it confirmed that the Xbox One will indeed not support any Dolby technology at launch due to a decision made by Microsoft. However, this will not render your equipment unusable or reduce your audio quality. When you receive your Xbox One, you will need to set the optical output to stereo. Our equipment will then take that signal and upscale it to a 7.1 Enhanced Surround Sound signal using Dolby Pro Logic IIx and Dolby Headphone to make it feel more realistic and natural as you've been accustomed to on the Xbox 360 and PS3. So in the end, no matter which console you choose, you will still have a Dolby Digital experience. I understand it's a little disheartening hearing this a day before launch and can only apologise for this. I'll be back on the forums in a couple of hours after some rest to answer any questions you might have regarding this situation so feel free to post them now and I'll get you a response as quickly as possible. You can read our full "press release" here on our facebook at https://www.facebook.com/astrogaming "
  17. Might be the case, i hope so, but that is a pretty big slip up, no?
  18. Totally agree. Unless you have an optical out on your amp (I don't), i am not sure how you would be able to get DD sound through a headset, i dont know any that use HDMI, do they exist?
  19. YoshimaxI have a xb1 arriving tomorrow (hopefully) but the lack of of DD is a real let down for me. I have 3 young kids so when gaming i have to use a headset. I have a Turtle Beach surround sound headset that works a treat on 360, ps3 and will work on Ps4. It is Dolby Digital only, no DTS which i think is the case for most surround headsets from TB and Astro. So, i will be going back to the 80's and playing my new next gen console in stereo because the XB1 does not support DD through optical, which is frankly ridiculous. I believe that MS were/are planning to use the new XB1 proprietary controller output to lock down the headset surround/chat option and hope to control this market as they see fit. If true, that is very cynical. Albert P says that an update will be coming post launch, but that could be anytime between launch and when the cows come home. Either way, many people are gonna be stuck with stereo sound on a next gen machine, which actually puts us 2 generation of consoles behind on this issue at least. So, yes, for me it is a big deal I have tweeted Albert.
  20. So no Dolby Digital via optical at launch from XB1, that is a poor show. From GAF Originally Posted by Albert Penello Dolby Digital is coming post launch. This was a SW scheduling issue pure and simple, and I know people are disappointed, but we will have it. Anyone with an HDMI receiver should be fine, as we pass the uncompressed 5.1 and 7.1 through HDMI as well as DTS. Even if you have a Dolby only HDMI receiver (which I'm not sure exists), you will still get 5.1 or 7.1 sound since those receivers should accept uncompressed surround. For the Dolby only headsets, my understanding is that these will work but you will only get stereo audio since we only pass Stereo and DTS through the optical port. I have not tested this myself, but I'm told it works. Regardless, I understand this is an inconvenience, but again we're going to have Dolby coming. This is unrelated to the HDMI-IN "Surround Sound" beta. To clarify, we default HDMI-IN audio to be converted to Stereo. However, we do have a feature you can access in TV settings/Troubleshooting that enables Surround Sound in "beta" form. If you check the box, and you get Surround, you're golden. We found some inconsistencies in STB's during testing and decided to disable it by default to insure a good initial setup experience for people.
  21. Ok, thanks for the swift reply tho.
  22. King A are you able to check to see if DD 5.1 audio is available through the optical out please?
  23. Add me please... Forza 5, Ryse & COD Ta.
  24. Thanks for the reply. I hope it don't suck as I have one preordered as well as a PS4. If you are skint, fair enough, shame though as you have been passionate about it for months in this thread. Have not agreed with all of your comments but nobody could deny your contribution to this and the Forza thread. If I am honest and i had to choose only one i would go with the ps4 but i am actually looking forward to playing Ryse and Forza as much as anything on PS4. Hopefully you have a change of fortune and pick one up at some point.
  25. May I ask why you have cancelled your preorder?
