  1. Have I only just noticed it, or have you always been able to move over a game in the eShop to show you screenshots? Cos that's really useful since some of the art they use in the shop is not helpful at all.
  2. Itta looks like a great bullet hell twin stick adventure game but I have enough of them to play, so might wait for a price drop. Would be interested on thoughts on Super Pixel Racers...
  3. Where's this come from? Picked up Sine Mora for £6 in this sale, I'd already bought everything else I wanted :|
  4. Mario 64 is begging for a remaster and I'd happily pay top price for it.
  5. Looking forward to it! Been enjoying a lot of D2 recently. I got my Riskrunner catalyst today and paired it with Verity's Brow... it just never ends. I also found out today that Nightfalls are matchmade - I'm sure they weren't before and the hover text for the option in the Director doesn't mention it is? Will play more of them now I know that. Did they change that or was I just wrong?
  6. Doom 1 and 2 both down to £1.20 and Doom 3 is £2.40!
  7. Well there's Golf Story tho there's not really that much golf in it.
  8. Worth it for the endless mode itself I reckon, very Zen!
  9. Nicalis sale on the eShop https://www.dekudeals.com/recent-drops?filter[store]=eshop_gb Just bought Cave Story+ and Ikaruga for £9 each.
  10. Wasn't sure whether to put this in the main eShop thread, but if you're a bit amateur at bullet hells like me then I can really recommend Angerforce Reloaded on Switch at easing you into its systems. Put it on last night to try it for 5 minutes and ended up on it for a few hours. Cracking game that starts you off fairly simply, and is only £5.66 at the moment. I used the big blue robot dude (Asimo?) the most. There's some roguelike elements too (you earn money to upgrade your ship/characters), and the whole setup really suits me as someone fairly new to these kinds of things. Not mad keen on the graphical style but it works well enough, and all the bullets are clear. I never blamed the game when I got hit. There is a Tate mode I think - it's not in the options weirdly but when you pause the game there's a "rotate 90 degrees" option???? Will try it with my Flipgrip at some point. Fab game, would recomend if you're fairly new to these things. Looks to be on Steam too.
  11. No idea, sorry, I don't think they're out yet - you can only reserve one at the moment.
  12. Look at the prices of the similar Smach machines - they range from £600 to £1000. Surely something Alienware is going to be over £1k? That's insane when you could get an admittedly much less powerful Switch for much less.
  13. They're completely separate products in the shop I think.
  14. Yeah been playing Jamestown+ on Switch and really enjoying it, clearing levels then coming back on a harder difficulty. It seems good at not overwhelming you.
  15. Wish Fez and Spelunky were both on Switch. Will be getting Touryst at some point but only in a sale I think.
  16. I'm not finding the weapons as fun as I remember them being. The DMR is still amazing but the assault rifle just feels a bit naff and most of the energy weapons don't seem as fun to use as I remember. Also trying to take out a shielded enemy takes too long with kinetic weapons; I know using energy weapons is supposed to be better but I don't remember kinetic ones being this ineffective. Maybe Destiny's gun play has spoiled me, with the upgradeable weapons and the wide variety of them? I don't mind so much picking up weapons as I find them, it forces you to adapt, it's just that they're not that satisfying. I know there's a separate issue with the sound quality of the weapons, it's not just that. they just don't feel accurate or particularly interesting? Still loving the atmosphere and story, and the gameplay systems in general are great, I'm just not enjoying the moment-to-moment play. Which is kind of Halo's thing.
  17. Can recommend Flinthook if anyone's after something a bit Rogue Legacy-ish, it's only £11. Great fun swinging around levels and there's a lot of nuance to the controls. You unlock stuff for future runs so every go is worthwhile too. Had to turn the music off, though I do for most games these days...
  18. Best one I've seen for OG Switch (with better battery) was on HUKD, comes with pokemon and MK8 for £300 https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nintendo-switch-2019-version-pokemon-sword-mario-kart-deluxe-29900-3345737 Or if you prefer Lego https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nintendo-switch-improved-battery-3345023 Think there was a Lite on for under £200 as well but really they're not discounting the hardware much.
  19. I kind of like Celeste but I do find it very fiddly. Like I feel I'm doing the right button combinations but it's not quite natural to me. Also because you move on from a screen and never really come back to it unless you're backtracking, it lacks that feeling of improving since it's a new set of challenges on each screen. The great thing about Rogue Legacy is that although it's procedurally generated, it's essentially just randomising defined room layouts so you can actually get better at them. Also each run will probably make you stronger every time so there's always something to gain. I avoided doing bosses out of fear but after a few hours you can basically just stand in front of them and whack em to death. Lovely game, very relaxing.
  20. I love Ringing Nail too, it's great at a bit of distance so it pairs well with my Trackless Waste (another gun people never seem to mention, though I mostly play PvE to be fair).
  21. Have you seen Juicy Realm? It's similar to Enter the Gungeon except the difficulty is kind of inverted from that - I finished Juicy Realm the first time I played it (and I'm not that great at EtG) but that's just normal mode; finishing it then unlocks hard mode and there are apparently other kinds of modifiers on top of that that can make it more difficult / interesting. It's more relaxing than EtG though maybe not as satisfying. It's £10.79 at the minute. EDIT: The controls confused me at first but I remapped them to be the same as EtG and that was much better.
  22. Just watched the SwitchUp review after your recommendation and bought it, only £12 something.
  23. Yeah I'm (not) hoping for a Black Friday sale too! Bought a new winter coat for £300 last week though so money's a bit tight this month. Katana Zero is on my list as well - if you want a kind of 2D demake of it then Akane is a fun distraction for less than £2… As is Jumping Joe & Friends. Was hoping to be playing Breath of the Wild but they'd run out when I got my Switch Lite so really hoping it comes down a little for BF (not likely I know).
  24. Comes out 20/11 on the Switch so think I'll wait for that one, looks great though.
  25. I haven't played Banana Blitz but to be honest I like the sound of it being easier I played the originals on the Gamecube too and I know they're objectively better. Not worth anything like £35 to me tho, more like £15ish. Too much competition on Switch for that.
