Conversely, I think it's one of my favourite looking consoles. I love the look of the machine.

It also does look better when it's not - upside down, not on it's stand and crammed into a tiny brown wood enclosure.

    why lie about it tho

    In & Of Itself

Storyteller and Conceptual Magician Derek DelGaudio attempts to understand the illusory nature of identity and answer the deceptively simple question 'Who am I?'

I saw this getting good notices so I thought I’d check it out as a change from what I’d normally watch. It’s a recording of a live show – 20% magic show, 80% spoken word/performance art. The magician tells some stories of his life, does some tricks and involves the audience. There’s puppets, close-up magic and some mind-reading bits.

I couldn’t really get into this. I liked the magic bits but the philosophy and introspection bits left me pretty cold. There were one or two tricks I couldn’t work out so I think a ‘proper’ magic show from this guy would be pretty interesting. But this type of performance wasn’t for me.

    2/5

watched this last night and wanted to see if anyone else on Rllmuk had seen it. It’s a shame it didn’t click with you because it absolutely blew me away.

I was a bit of a wreck by the end and I can’t stop thinking about it.

For those put off by the idea of watching a 90 minute magic show, don’t be. It’s not about the magic at all. The trick he does to finish the show is incredible really because you start with the usual “how does he do that?” Then move on to theories about how he does it, then for me it hit me that it really doesn’t matter. It’s not about the tricks, it’s about how the audience is reacting and what that means.

It’s slow, plodding and I have a feeling a lot of people will lose interest quickly. But if it does manage to click with you then it’ll hit you like a ton of bricks.

    Definitely give it a go.

I miss the good old days of Videogamer podcast :( That was the ultimate in my opinion.

I listen to Beastcast these days.

Tried TCGS a couple of times (think it was their game of the year and then one after), but it was like being sat behind a table of annoying fellas having banter at the pub.. taking it in turns to take the mick out of each other. They spent most of the time doing that and I just wanted to hear about video games. Might give it a go again to see if that was just a wrong first impression.

Nope that’s the most spot on first impression I think I’ve ever read tbf

I’m not linking it, but Farage has declared BLM dead because Milwall players didn’t kneel.

he’s aware that many teams QPR included have decided not to do it before tonight right?

not sure about ‘the racists won’ stuff. The players linked arms in front of an equality banner. Were applauded. Romeo raised the black power fist, and was applauded.

I think that’s about as good as an outcome as I could have hoped for tonight.

    That's really sad, very disappointing.

The first time players took a knee during Aston Villa vs Sheffield United I found it really impactful.  I do however believe it has lost much of that initial impact now and feels a little forced.

Although I agree, what happened today has brought all that impact back.

    Fucking embarrassing.

I'm so angry. I wish deep in my soul that it didn't happen, I wish we didn't live in a world where players have to take a knee, and I wish, WISH it wasn't a section of our fans again.

    Fuck's SAKE.

I'd say it's hard being a Millwall fan sometimes, but I bet it's harder being a person of colour and hearing that.

Yep. It's fucking embarrassing. Worst of all this means that we'll just attract more dickheads.

I hope the players continue to do It until the booing stops.

Just got my xbox series x.

Just so I've got this right, the series x controller requires AA batteries, those things from tv remotes and the 1990s. And searching for an official lithium charging pack, it seems microsoft don't sell one? but the battery pack for the Xbox One controllers work? Yet they don't come with a USB-C wire.

    Have I got this right?

    no sir.

you can get official Series X Play and Charge Kits.

Urgh yeah that's the link I found, though I thought it wasn't working because it's the US site.

Turns out that it won't except the GB code on that site as it's through my Japanese ISP.

Can I redeem the code through the console? If not, I'll have to try a VPN. Or ask a friend back home to log in as me and redeem it.

I’m not going to assist you with international fraud.

I may be being dense here, but I can't for the life of me find how to redeem a code on the GB Xbox site or my phone app. Found the US one but it obviously wasn't valid there.

Can I do it through the console?

Just got the console set up and the 1 month for £1 offer was the first thing that came up after installing. I'm paranoid of pressing anything on there now.

they removed it in the update (I hear it’s being added back in)

you can enter it in the store section on the console or via your browser

Yep, definitely the next gen version. It has the X|S logo on the game icon, the "raytracing data" installed (up to 11.8GB?) in the game management screen and raytracing was definitely enabled in the game's video settings.

At one point where you take controller of a helicopter, the image quality was so grimy that I thought they were doing an MGS4 Shadow Moses style flashback, trying to evoke the original Black Ops graphics.

this is why I was asking yesterday. I read this on the Activision Q&AF147F2A6-A580-4E01-ACC7-E0DE66CEC869.thumb.jpeg.70a49050c642ba8e13c4503294853abd.jpeg

  11. This has to be my favourite show of the year.

Was worried after the first episode but from episode 3 I was fully in love with everything about it. The characters are just so damn good and the 'feel good' nature of everything is a complete break away from the norms of comedy. By the end I was insanely invested. I really hope they can keep this going for the next couple of series.

    Bonkers game at Millwall yesterday.
Bartman (GK Bartosz Bialkowski) had a 'mare for the first.
Wycombe had a corner fly straight in, only to be ruled out for a very soft foul.

We scored a pen. We *should* have had two more.
We hit the woodwork 3 times.

But I suggest you all watch the highlights below (or skip to 1:45) to see what our 6'7 lumbering mountain of a centre back, Jake Cooper, so-very-nearly almost pulls off.

It's funny, and I said this at the time which was later confirmed on Quest. If you watch Bart as the ball is coming in, their striker has got hold of his arm. As he starts to head to the far post you can see his arm being tugged meaning that he couldn't get back in time. How the hell the ref/lino caught that though is beyond me.

Did you watch last night? Might be one of the best performances I've seen from a Millwall side since we had Cahill (first time obviously!). Mahoney has come out of nowhere and looks to be unstoppable at the moment but we were excellent all over the pitch. Hope we can find some consistency.
