  1. I've been playing since October. I have to admit the influx of new players over Christmas has been... delicious. The thing with Tarkov is that it strips all the things you rely upon in games to make them easier. Nav, information in the UI. You have to figure it out.

My advice for new players is run Customs with your PMC and Factory with your Scav. Focus on hiding and getting out first. Then on killing people. You can asily make 1-200k on a Factory scav run. For PMC run a mosin, with a tri rail, red dot and Z1N ammo. It will head shot through every helmet in the game. So get good at hitting heads.

I think it's the end of the road for myself and Game Pass on the PC. This is the latest high profile release that, after taking an astonishing 7 hours to download, simply does not work on my PC. No error message - just nothing when I press to play the game. I have had more (terminal) problems with things running through the Game Pass app/MS Store in the few months that through all other launchers combined ever.

Shame as M+K control might have finally allowed me to enjoy a Halo game.

Search for MCC in the start menu and run it from there. I'm having the same issue.

Hopefully last Porlex grind this morning. Though it was a good reminder to do physio! (I was standing on one leg with my eyes closed whilst grinding :D)

First grind with my Porlex this morning. You're not wrong about the physio! Coffee was definitely worth it though.

Ooh, I haven't tried their Ethiopian ones. Are they high or medium roast?

    They are all medium :)

Little known fact: coffee is only natively found in Ethiopia. The Dutch colonised and controlled the coffee, whilst also keeping the profits. They gifted a coffee plant to the French, which is still in the French Botanical Gardens, which the French then used to seed coffee around the rest of the world and avoid their taxes. So until quite recently all none Ethiopian coffee came from the same plant.

Algerian Coffee Stores have single origin coffees that will blow your mind from £5 something. I get them ground because they have a wide variety of grind levels to choose from and they come in bags so thick and vacuum packed that they easily stay perfectly fresh for as long as you like. They offer beans too, of course and also have a limited time new single origin coffee for each month at £7 something for a 500g bag which have all been lovely. I haven't found better coffee anywhere and their service is great too.

I've just bought three bags from them. One each of the single origin blends from Ethiopia. I'm excited :D

tempted to get game pass for this to play on my PC.

HOWEVER my pc upstairs has the 1080ti in it whilst my 4k tv is down stairs. I have a 980 in my downstairs pc.

Is there anyway to stream it from upstairs? I never have used the gamepass thing, don't know if there is someway of doing this like in steam?

You could bounce your desktop through steams streaming service.

If bugs like that were universal and so easily replicated then they’d most likely be caught before the game shipped.

    Bug marked - KS

    Known shippable.

I've been getting mega hitches on PC when it fast switches between cutscenes and gameplay quite a bit. Like it can't stream textures in fast enough or something. This is on a very fast M2 drive as well.

Yeah, The cutscenes seem to be a bit buggy. I've been playing with 2 mates and we've all had some kind of jarring. I've got my game running on uncapped fps, usually around 120. Texture streaming has always been an issue with Gears games though.

I'm on 9900k, 2080ti, and 32gb Ram. And performance is pretty shit. But I'm wondering if its because the game's VR settings are tied in with the 2D settings, using the refresh rate of your main display, which in my case is a TV at a max of 60hz...

The game is a lot fo fun to play, but constant frame drops in VR, even at enhanced settings, are really spoiling it. Also, having rocks, trees, and even fauna materialise right in front of you because they hadn't been drawn in is just unacceptable considering the spec of my PC.

I'm sure they'll fix it, but who knows when...

Hmm, that is odd. I have 144hz monitors and g-sync enabled. Which thinking about I should probably turn off.
