  5. Obviously he's on a terrible run and will almost definitely, ultimately not be the man for the job but you seem to use xg (and by extension expected points) when it fits the narrative (the padded run) but ignore them for the bad run until the end of the season (games 9, points 8, expected points 14.14) and the current form (games 7, points 9, expected points 14.4), and the other problem I find is that its easy to look at the stats in isolation which misses that the bad run coincided with a a lot of injuries which has continued into this season, but ultimately I'm not sure a new manager is goi
  6. Even though he did overachieve (in comparison to xG), he still had the 3rd highest expected point total for that 12 games which would have, I'd imagine still got him the job and if extrapolated over a season would have been enough for a Champions league spot. While I don't think he's the right man for the job, as shit as Utd have been so far this season (and we have been shit), we have also been really unlucky, which expected points would seem to support. Interestingly (possibly only to me) Mourinho's last 28 games as manager got 51 points compared to OGS's 49, but Mourinho's expected points
  7. I don't think this is correct, Utd last season since OGS took over had the 3rd highest actual points (40) and the 3rd highest expected points (37.94) in the league, xG was 40.4 and actual goals 36, xA was 25.78 actual was 25.

  9. I'm partly glad that the Solskjaer honeymoon period is over, hopefully the club is under no illusion how far we are from being regular top four contenders let alone challenging for the league or beyond. Not that I trust the club with recruitment, I'm hoping the lack of any news about a DOF is due to the club taking its time to find the right man rather than abandoning the idea. It's telling that Barca had five players on the bench better that what we have in the first team.

  12. He's obviously grown tired off being made to look like a fool by Liverpool fans and instead has moved on to a team Tottenham are currently better than, United may be shit since Ferguson retired but we've still managed to win more since then than Tottenham have in the last 20+ years.

I still played it for over 70 hours and really enjoyed traversing the world and the shrines but there was just something that stopped me from really loving it, partly it was the weapon breaking system which I found annoying (wo

Henry wasn't "world class" when he was signed.

This isn't really true though, can't think of anyone Wenger signed who at the time was world class. In fact the only players who really fit the "world class" description are Ozil and Sanchez I'd be more inclined to believe Fergies reason for leaving being his wife's sister dying and the team was only in dire need of a rebuild because he left. I have no doubt he would have at least one more title if he would have stayed. The problem was he didn't give the club enough time to find a suitable replacement (and David Gill also leaving), the same problem Arsenal will face if Wenger leaves

  23. If he plays, which is likely with the Euros coming up, he could again be the difference between making the champions league or not, which is worth more than the money Real were offering. We've also just spent 36 million on an inexperienced teenager, money really isn't an issue.
