  1. so, i bought a Dodge charger to do the american muscle race in the amatuer series, but it keeps hitting the rev limiter at around 105mph, ive tried various upgrades but it still does it, even in a one make race the other cars fly by me with no trouble. any ideas?

  2. Another thumbs up here, now I have one in my home any worries of space have gone as it works fine in my modest living room. The setup is dead easy and even quite fun. Kinect adventures is a good laugh although a little limited in longevity I suspect. Luckily the included demos of dance central, joyride and fitness will keep you going, but I'd definately reccomend the purchase of another game to go with it.

  3. Here's a weird one. Remember big Hollywood director Joel Schumacher? He directed a film for Lionsgate which was promptly dumped faster than a red hot coal. It got screened in about 20 places to fulfil a theatrical release clause and now its vanished again, perhaps to end up on DVD at some point.

It's called Blood Creak (Town Creak) and it features Nazis, occultism and zombie horses. Not to mention starring Michael Fassbender as some kind of Nazi Occult Practitioner. It's basically Nazi Zombies Vs Rednecks. What's not to love? All I've got is quite a positive review which says it's obviously not Citizen Kane but is much better than a lot of stuff that's getting a wide release. Again, no real idea why it was dumped - hell even Schumacher's name might have got someone interested in seeing it.

Here's the review, some minor spoilers

So, I finally got round to watching this today, it was pretty good to be honest. kept me entertained throughout and I thought the scene were they got into the house was quite well done and tense. a few nice gory bits round this film off and id give it a 3.5/5 definately worth a watch.

  4. I have to say being a massive DDR fan at the time, but not really enjoying Just Dance personally I'm definitely looking forward to Dance Central and was the one reason I pre-ordered a Kinect (later cancelled because of the feedback in this thread).

How does the freestyle mode work? I'd always assumed it was like freestyle in Singstar that has no effect on the actual game.

Freestyle occurs midway through each track, it basically lets you pull off any moves you want, and your sillhouette is shown on screen with a background of colours, so basically you try and pull off any funny or stupid moves here, then straight after Kinect plays back some sped up actual video footage of you pulling said moves, making you look even more ridiculous! its a nice and very funny touch :)

  5. That's a good point, I think the fact that your purely just dancing on dc makes it more fun to play. With just dance it's almost as fun but you know in your head that it's only what your doing with the remote that actually matters

  6. I've played both just dance 2 and dance central, and can easily say dance central was the better game, I played dance central several times with 2 other people and we were all tracked in the bottom right of the screen. Don't get me wrong, just dance 2 is good fun, but dance central takes it to the next level, the freestyle in dance central is particulary hilarious.

  7. wow, the pure love for Wii Fit in a Kinect thread is quite strange, Wii Fit is of course good, but Kinect is completely different. The possibilities with Kinect are far greater than the Wii Fit board.

  8. Put in a few hours last week on Kinect, tried out kinectadventures, sports, joyride, sonic riders, your fitness and realmotion sports. Have to say I'm very impressed, the only small signs of lag I could see were in sonic riders and realmotion sports, though I was told these would be ironed out for release. The first party titles worked perfectly, it really is a clever piece of kit. Dance central and kinect sports stood out as the 2 best titles for me, purely down to how fun they are to play. Having only been intrigued on Kinect before, I'm now sold!

  9. been playing FBAnext over the past few days, this really is a fantastic emu! a worthy contender to mame

  10. So has anyone played gt5 at mercedes Benz world near Woking? Was down there the other weekend and was surprised to see several demo pods set up with logitech wheels playing it. You could only drive the nordschliefe using a amg sports car but from what I played I was pretty impressed.
