  1. Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Milner, Gakpo, Nunez, Salah, Jota.

Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Gomez, Keita, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Elliott, Tsimikas, Carvalho, Matip, Williams.

Looks like a 4-2-4 , constant pressure, FIFA style! 🤣

  2. Just watched this at lunch and thought it was ok but seems to be lacking the magic that the first two seasons had.  I think someone mentioned about the self contained episodes in the first season and how well it worked.  This is a long way off.  I gave the first episode a pass because it was trying to warm us up, but this was mediocre.

One thing I will say though, people worried that it was going to be

    Spoiler

the adventures of Djin trying to baptise himself in an underground lake were very much wrong, he certainly tied that adventure up quickly!

I'm staying positive that it will pick up though.

Ha ha. I know. A simple run to the carabao cup and playing a poor Barca side and it’s too many games for a billion pound squad.

Just remember not to ever post that or the fact we beat them 7 (Seven) - 0 in the main thread as that is only allowed when it's Liverpool on the receiving end.

It's time to move on, it's been like 24 hours 😂🙄

  4. Yeah I know it's all relative, like I said it was just an observation (probably more to myself really).  I AM surprised we've lost just one more game than them, of course that's about 5 more games than we lost last year, but there you go.

Constant media chat of how bad we are had me thinking we'd lost 10 games already.

Also, and I know this isn't allowed as a Liverpool fan, but we've had some bloody terrible injuries this year to some of our best and key players.  Every other team seems to be able to use it as an excuse when injuries pile up, so sod it.

  5. Just an observation but I've just noticed.....

We are having an absolute shocking season and Man U are having a really good one, but we've lost just once more than them!  Amazing how these things are perceived.

I reckon Neville would of given us more credit if we won 2-0 and missed 5 big chances, he keeps going on about it being a freak result, are we supposed to create 10-15 big chances for it not to be??

Does anyone actually care what he thinks?

Keita and Ox will also be leaving alongside Firmino and he’s the one who had the most impact and cost the least out of the three of them. Hopefully Nat Philips gets a move as well because it feels like he’s wasting away at Liverpool due to how little game time he gets.

That's the two I would happily pack their bags for em!

Think you are right about Nat, he could play first team no problem for a mid table team (Chelsea?) 😂

Firmino has probably been my favourite player in the last 5 years, he comes across as one of those players that's good for the dressing room.  It would be sad to see him just sit on the bench for the next year, so hope he gets a good move to a decent team.

Firmino isn’t renewing his contract and will leave at the end of the season.

He's been great, a joy to watch, no look Bobby will be missed. I think we are covered upfront though.

There are definitely players that should be off with him.

Looked to me like Jota was buffeted by the Wolves defender when he fell down, strange to think that was a clear and obvious error to allow it from the ref.

I've just seen this and what a load of bollocks. No wonder people don't like VAR, there is no way you can call that "clear and obvious" error.

Good to hear the boys managed to grind out a result though.

Its blatantly the love child of Swamp thing and a Sea Devil.

Cracking opener I thought. Loved the dogfight.

    Haha, that sounds about right.

    Yes, the dogfight was great!

  11. Slow and steady start to the season.  Can't say I was blown away and couldn't help thinking

    Spoiler

Pirates of the Caribbean with the seaweed head pirate

But it was all fairly enjoyable and it flew by.

  12. Just finished this in time for Season 3 of The Mandalorian.  I've read quite a bit of this thread, lots of negativity but personally, I really enjoyed it.  The first few episodes are admittedly slow (Some of the poorer episodes reminded me a bit of some of the not so good Mandalorian episodes to be fair) and Boba ain't the guy he was before falling into the pit, but it was good fun overall.

Seeing Grogu again was ace, the Mandalorian with the sword, the rancor, the wookie and Olyphant turning up was cool.  Having sympathy for Tusken Raiders was unexpected to be honest.  The bug eyed guy channeling his inner Clint Eastwood was quality and I've never seen the Clone Wars.  The FX on Luke absolutely blew me away and actually a lot of the action sequences were damn impressive looking, for a TV series.

The vespa dudes, yeah they were odd but I don't think they are there for 44 year old me, more for the younger generation.

Now very much hyped for Season 3 of Mando and his green pal.

Finally caught up with this. Uhh, blimey, was pretty much a perfect adult star wars. Lots to work with for a season 2 too.

    Now to read the thread.

That about sums it up for me too.  Just finished it tonight, it was bloody great!  Don't think I've got a bad word to say about it.
