  1. Bought How High We Go In The Dark off this little passage of chat. Cheers peeps.
  2. Resurrection Been meaning to watch this for a while. Rebecca Hall gives the best performance ive seen in many a year. Tim Roth is wonderfully nasty and creepy and real. She is a fairly successful women, daughter who is about to turn 18. Then she spots Roth and anxiety, paranoia, fear set in. How and why more don't know or speak about this I'm not sure. It's a fantastic film. Ending ten minutes reminds me of one other horror classic. What a film.
  3. Been looking forward to this, loved the first, a proper tight, well written, entertaining whodunit. This is just a mess. Awful performances, hateful characters bar Blanche, plot holes, bombed to the hilt with Easter eggs and whiffing its own farts. Terrible script in places. No actual sense of mystery or intrigue.
  4. The Stranger (2022) Joel Edgerton plays an undercover cop gaining the trust of a person believed to have abducted and murdered a child 10 years ago. Based on a true case. Australian. Sean Harris, who I think is one of the greatest actors of his generation, plays the suspect and is as ever fucking incredible. Dark, nasty, slowburn of a thriller. Fantastic film. 5/5
  5. Been playing this an hour at a time here and there. Absolutely fucking love it. I could see it getting annoying if rinsing it for a few hours on end but played in short bursts it's a banger. Melee is so so good. Its like a boxing game.
  6. I subscribe to Ellajaz, Wirtual, Scrapie and Bawkbasoup. I like their streams, I never chat, but they have provided me countless hours of entertainment so a fiver a month or so each is worth it for me. They're all chill, good at what they do.
  7. fucking hell that's shit
  8. Yeah other reviews I've seen have been glowing. But then you had a similar thing on launch with Cyberpunk and it was an absolute fucking mess, still getting 8s and 9s. Will see anyway, I'll prob never play this again regardless, 200 hours was enough.
  9. Oh CDPR bless you https://metro.co.uk/2022/12/12/the-witcher-3-ps5-review-another-cyberpunk-2077-style-disaster-17923851/
  10. It was a really good show. But fuck me there's nothing there getting me excited. It's all end of the world disaster ruins action pretty nonsense that'll probably be three years in length with decent voice acting and animation. Desperate to be film, this industry. Out of all I'm probably more hype for Returnal on PC so I can widescteen it and not deal with shitty FOV.
  11. Some element of enjoyment would be nice
  12. Just something I heard in passing, think it might have been Twitter from a critic. Like the idea of it being true.
  13. Yeah reviews and the usual tedious gamer backlash on anything that scores sub 90% had me thinking this was Big Rigs 2. But it's a glorious linear short experience.
  14. Precisely what I did Benny. Not played anything but Peglin and Slay the Spire, plus emu, on my PC in ages. PS5 is getting hammered, however.
  15. Absolutely loved the first couple hours. The melee system is awesome, the dodge mechanic followed by smashing limbs off is proper visceral and nasty. Had a couple 2/3 enemy fights and seems easy enough to control. I've heard there's spitters later on though which could send it a bit wild. Atmosphere and sound are top notch. Headphones on, it's a glorious thing. And again, the graffix lads. Definitely feels like it'll be a cult classic.
  16. This is insane graphically. Feels properly next gen. Only done the intro but lighting, models, everything looks proper console holy shit.
  17. Anybody watched Skinamarink that Tik-Tokkers are apparently losing their shit over?
  18. Yeah but Marvel, fuck that. Watched Ellajaz play a chunk on Twitch earlier. It looks sound to me. Defo purchase sub 30 quid. Got too much other shit to play first (GoW, Horizon, Tsushima etc)
  19. If Sonic Frontiers had been made by Nintendo it'd be bumped up 5 or 6 points innit bruv
  20. Love the story of Jason Blum seeing it and him saying he has never come out of a screening so shaken and he knew he had to acquire it.
  21. Soft & Quiet One of the toughest pieces of film making I've seen in a while. Social horror. Disturbing, disgusting, but absolutely fucking relevant It's not your typical 'horror'. But it a real bastard of a thing. One of the best films I've seen this year. It should make most uncomfortable. https://youtu.be/9caXYrlADa0
  22. So it's this years 12 Minutes then.
  23. And for the head's here's Hyper going mad over it in the intro (love this tape)
  24. Its an absolute cluster fuck this year and I've been adding to it. Good to see them finally called on it
