Didn't Kamiya literally publicly apologise for messing up with Scalebound?
Platinum struggled with using UE4 and developing a game with online features.
Phil on the matter:
Quote"I regret we were as public about what we tried to go do. I did some learning around Fable Legends and Scalebound about being public about things before I know we have a real, believable plan that I can hold in my hands and know was going to be there. And we just didn't get there with Scalebound and the team. And I say that about both teams.
Kamiya would like another shot at it now though. Anyone?

Hmmmm.
QuoteLyndhurst will play Alan Cornwall, described as “Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor. British, boozy and larger than life, Alan has an intellect on par with Frasier’s—if only he ever felt like using it. Alan’s mischievous streak might be just what Frasier could use to shake up his routine, while Frasier’s thoughtful guidance might help Alan find some of the direction he’s been missing in his own life.”

Am currently unwell and so am looking for a good Switch single player game.
I’ve played BOTW, Mario Trilogy and Odyssey. Does anyone have any others to recommend?
Dragon Quest XI, the Xenoblade games, Mario and Rabbids, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, the latest Kirby.
Get well soon.

Oof, Ubisoft have had a difficult Quarter looking at the results. It seems Just Dance 2023 and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope in particular have underperformed.
Slowly but surely, the company seems to be going down.
According to this they've cancelled 7 unannounced games in the last 6 months or so. Ouch.

Well a bunch of Playground people just left to form a new studio,I wonder if we’ll start to hear from them and the people that recently left the other studios at some point soon.
They've given an interview already.

Persona 4 Golden is great after the first few hours. I completed Persona 3 FES a long time ago and will have a look at the portable version - am I right in thinking it will not have the in-engine cut scenes of the PS2 version?
Will give Monster Hunter a shot again.

On paper they have seven first party games due for console release this year, six of them supposedly in the first half of the year.
Three of those are ports but yeah, they need a more consistent release schedule.
Edit: I'm not sure if that reads a bit sarky but that's not my intention.
I didn't read that as snarky btw. Could you list the games? I can think of Redfall, Starfield and Forza.

Answering my own question here but they now have 23 development studios, some of these have multiple teams.
I'm still enjoying game pass but surprised about how MS struggles with their own first party content after having so many studios. We may get an odd situation where a huge amount of titles will be ready be released in the same year.

Would have liked to see more Starfield but will have to settle for some Redfall then.
How many dev studios does Microsoft now own? And is Avowed dead?

Dring also tweeted that 60,000 consoles separated all 3 formats in the UK this year which is neat.

Christopher Dring of GamesIndustry.biz reporting that Switch overtook the PS5 to become the best selling console in the UK for 2022.
Impressive for a machine which has been out for, what, 6 years?

PS4 Pro due to a huge library of games which still look and play well. Follow ups: Switch, DS.

I really enjoyed Fallen Order when I played it on the PS4. Runs much better on the new machines, runs like butter on my series s.
Had a quick go at Axiom Verge 2 but stopped playing for now as too many fucking games.

Ended up playing Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PS4. I found a cat.

What a guy.
One of my favourite characters in any video game. Looking forward to the next adventure.

- Metroid Prime 4 announced...and released!
- Persona 6 announced, not released.
- Microsoft release some games but mainly from recent acquisitions and deals. Reviewers mistake features as bugs in Redfall.
- No Wolverine.
- New Mario platformer announced and released for Switch.
- Succesor to Switch not announced.
- New co-op game announced where you play as either Keighley or Kojima, is awesome.
- PS5 slimmer goes on sale.
- I play Witcher 3.

Completed. Took me about 145hrs but with some big breaks to play other games inbetween. Enjoyed it although not my favourite in the series and I still hope Persona 6 will get announced some day.
I do have Persona 5 Strikers via PS+ and may give that a whirl sometime.

Are there any good video essays or anything for this? Also can you get the anime in English?
The English dub is on the ITV player.
Final boss (third semester) kicked my bum tonight, will try again. Argh!

I'm still a new-ish series s owner and when I opened up the cardboard box it was in my first reaction was to quickly close it and laugh. The console is so small! Really enjoying my experience with it so far. Quiet too.

Pure Xbox have also mentioned they experienced some minor issues but hopefully these will get sorted out before I finish Cyberpunk.
