I’m on chapter 7 now. Have spent a fair bit of time doing side quests and new ones keep popping up. I’m hoping I get a warning about not being able to turn back before I go too far like XC2 had.

Nintendont can run stand-alone or it can be integrated with any recent game loader software you may already have installed.

Yes it can. Use Nintendont and you can also do widescreen hacks

/media/fat/ should be the root of the sd card. Stupid Linux notation. 

Not wanting to throw shade on Mike’s work but it does sound like something is amiss with the mod but I don’t know how they work. Back when I region modded a pal Saturn it was old school with physical switches bolted through the plastic. 

In-line power switches are notorious for using thin gauge wire which limits the current draw. 

Ah. That’s a good scart cable. I can only assume then that’s it’s something to do with the type of mod installed. @MikeBeaver which mod was it?

Which rgb scart cable are you using? I recall there’s a differently wired pin between ntsc and pal. 

From what I can gather it won’t be cycle accurate but will run the game code correctly. He seemed really comfortable with the ddr ram being fast enough to use as main work ram.  

I very much doubt any charity shop puts anything gaming related on their shelves without checking eBay now. 
 

That said, yesterday I did find a sweet Panasonic SC-HC39 cd player for a tenner. After a software update the Bluetooth was fixed. It sounds lovely.

So I was looking up the English voice cast and noticed that the actor who voices Shania, Louise Stewart is the niece of Rab Florence of consolevania fame. Small world. 

I think that battle was known as a particularly nasty difficulty spike, it definitely was on Wii. It took me three attempts but it’s definitely doable. 

I'm pretty much at the same point. I have a new form of transport but have left that halfway through to mop up colonies and side quests.

Possibly but the eldest has her Pokémon sun save on there. If I nuke the board trying this then I’ll deffo hit you up.
