  1. Get Dredd! 3Ds superb. It's practically a living comic book and the over emphasised depth from the 3d in certain scenes really works well. Personally this has been the only film I'm bothering with when it comes to 3d. Saw Avatar plus a few others and at best the effect was "alright". Coming out the cinema after, I certainly wouldn't buy a 3d telly for it. However, on seeing Dredd, I've invested in a 3d player and a 3d monitor - just for this. It's out tommorow too
  2. Ted. Post modern, 1950s type humour. I.e a bunch of racist, misogynist, homophobic shite. With pop culture references. Only a bit better than a Adam Sandler movie. Total pish.

I thought the rise of the mama clan, right at the beginning where the med tech was recounting the history of Peach Trees was a whoop/gasp moment - in that it was utterly smashing stuff. The music, the cinematography Lena Headey, bloodied and grinning manically, and her henchman stepping from behind and blasting you the viewer in the face, that's the second I knew I was watching something quite a bit special.

  5. So newest estimates say March for the dev kits, yeah? I'm working now but when during the kickstarter I was an unemployed bum, so...preorder a kit now or wait until some bright spark gets it working properly with the likes of Arma? This is by far the most exciting thing to happen to games for a long, long time. Imagine Battlefield 3/4 with this? Pure screaming as a tank roles by

They should do what Bret Easton Ellis did and try to partially fund their next project through kickstarter. Practically everyone who went and saw Dredd heard about it through someone on the internet anyway (myself included), im sure they'd get a few mill out of us

This is because they're not making any more and still trying to recoup their losses, isn't it?
  10. Like all good Doug Stanhope segments it was great and horrendous at the same time. The first part with the footage of the black tent up, (the first time id actually seen such a thing) didn't help that.

wat! Theyve done it? Really? Give the disk with the most features to the country who went to see it in the cinemas the least. Fuck, and in this day and age aswell? So I need to cancel my UK preorder now aye, ffs! edit Pre- ordered the Us Version now. I didnt even think to compare the two really. Honestly, I felt we'd moved on as a species. Grinds my gears something fierce.

It seams everyone's telling their friends! Amazon.co.uk has this listed as number 2 on the best selling 3d-blu-rays just now! Avatar and Prometheus are 4 and 5 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bestsellers-Film-TV-Blu-ray-3D/zgbs/dvd/535556031/ref=pd_ts_zgc_d_h__535556031_morl?pf_rd_p=319977767&pf_rd_s=right-5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=468294&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=13P79F87WAA8QE6DSZZV
  18. Im really quite partial to some of the scenes from the first one but its the second that stacks it together into a thrill ride from start to finish. Theres quite a bit of downtime in the first one but even so - a thing I just found! TOECUTTER!
  19. This thread made me go back and look at what Miller has accomplished with his time as a director. Some how Mad Max and Happy Feet came from the same brain! Looking back at some of the stuff they managed to capture on film for the original Mad Max, i'm surprised he was allowed near another film set again after that. And I mean that in the most awesomest way possible but the barely legal road battles those films had is surly a thing of the unregulated past for films now? How you gonna recreate that same lighting in a bottle energy with modern sensibilities? Basically i'm wanting a confirmation if we can expect to see more sex with manikins and dudes with names like The Toecutter

You never know. Im sure there's been a few tv shows that have been saved by dvd sales despite hardly anyone watching them when they were first broadcast. No idea for movies but hey, keep the faith!

  22. The puppet thing payed off when the cleaner stuck his head round the door
  23. Not to be cynical but is this going to be Superman, The Freudian Analysis Years then aye? Lots of coming to grips with his father complex and crying into pillows, as they certainly seam to be saving the pomp and bombastic music for the next time round. Somewhat related, but taken from a more modern rendition of that basic character, id really like to see more moments from what I saw from Captain America in the Avengers movie for this next Superman movie. Him taking the hit for the old ww2 vet when hes all up and talking shit at Loki. That's the superman I want. Not this morose, enya stuff edit That edited trailer with the John Williams theme is x1000000 times better.
  24. Ach, that trailer continuing the Prometheus tradition of revealing waayy too much. Establishing a future with a fascinating mystery is good. Giving away 90 percent of the events in the plot in the trailer is not.
