Yknow, I think this thread has given me the impetus I needed to take a break from this place. 

Fear Street 1978 isn't bad, actually. Doesn't have an original bone in its body, but it has a fairly likeable cast of characters. I'm in for the final part next week. 

The perfect show to get me in the Christmas mood. 

You can skip the cutscenes.

Problem with this weeks weeklies is that neither of them are on Cloud, I’ve recently completed and deleted Quantum Break, and it seems a bit daft to download that again (quite a large file) and Battlefield V just for 100 points in total - then again I’ve never played BFV so I might give it a try to see if I like it. 
 

It’s just getting enough weeklies done to meet that big 1K reward that I care about.

To be fair to both, I managed to get both rewards without the full download. Battlefield V is just loading the game when it says 'Ready to Start'. Quantum Break let me choose Chapter 1 Part 2 from my completed save when it was in 'Ready to Start' as well. I switched the game to easy, walked along for a couple of minutes and headshotted the first 3 guys I came across. Easy. 

The team behind that and Panzer Dragoon have signed on with Nintendo to make something exclusively for them as well. Hoping for a Starfox remake. 

Dark Souls 3 is now confirmed.

Edit: apparently this one title has been singled out because it required a 'unique solution' to get it to work. 

Yeah, I enjoyed it. Very Mission: Impossible with a couple of great action scenes. The chemistry between Natasha and her sister was fantastic as well.

If it's anything like Ys VIII, it'll be incredibly limited and hard to get hold of after its initial print run. 

Got my preorder for in store collection from Smyths. Went for the white one. It'll be a nice replacement for my Day One Switch. Will be an expensive day: got the limited edition Metroid: Dread and Amiibo collection all on the same day as well. 

Ys IX is out on the Switch on Friday, anyone picking it up? My copy arrived yesterday and I managed to put in 30 minutes or so this morning (finished the prologue) and it seems...fine. I enjoyed VIII for the most part, but thought it overstayed it's welcome long before the credits rolled. I'm hoping this one isn't quite as bloated. 

Remember Terminator: Resistance and how it wasn't quite as bobbins as the usual movie tie-in? Well, it's developer Teyon is now making a RoboCop game!

I'm waiting for the Nintendo Switch Pro OLED. 

I don't think Deaths Door is on Gamepass, is it? It's an Xbox exclusive, but not GP.

Yeah it's the Switch XL, that's all. It'll end up a companion to the Switch like the 3DS XL was to the 3DS.

I'm probably gonna upgrade. My day one Switch is a bit battered these days and the bigger screen is nice. 

Superman is still my all time favourite superhero film. Gutted. 

Even poorer DS9 episodes are watchable for the smaller character moments. 

Apart from 'Let He Who Is Without Sin...' which is irredeemable garbage.

2 is far more action oriented with a couple of (admittedly fantastic) setpieces. It's less focused than the first but still definitely worth a play. 3 is just terrible. They ditch all the horror for co-op and shootyman action. And a horrible ending that goes nowhere.

Yeah that's the remake. The controls are vastly improved over the original. Still, 16 years old now though.

Got as far as the hover race and it has been infuriating. The remaster obviously did nothing for the controls.

The controls are one of the things that got completely overhauled from the original, actually. It's still dated to today's standards, but you really don't want to try the version on Rare Replay if you didn't like the controls in this. 

It's on Gamepass Day One as well. I was going to preorder it the other week and noticed that.
