From what I know of Bioshock, it's not so much scary, more freaky/weird. The enemies in it are fucked up. Case in point from the demo:

the woman with the pram - sobbing and hysterical, you almost don't want to see what's in that pram. Then you look. And it's a pistol.

The game is mental, I like it a lot - but it's a completely different kind of 'scariness' to Silent Hill.

I like the old couple arguing at the kitchen door.

I had no problem with downloading the demo, it was done in 30-40 mins.

I like how you feel powerful with your powers (your left hands looks infinitely cool) and when you finish the demo you see a movie with all your powers, each more insane than the other.

I thought I'd maybe want to buy this for the atmosphere, but it seems this will be the most fun FPS ever. :angry: One question though:

the movie seems to suggest you can control those flying robots by using electricity, which I never tried at the one in the demo (I just dodged him). Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, but there are fun things you can do once you've hacked them, for example

stick a proximity mine on them, making them moving deathtraps - giggle as your enemies try to take them out, then boom!

The adlib combat is definitely the standout feature of the game.

It's all good. I restarted the xbox and now I'm at 87% in less than 15mins.
