QUOTE(dood @ Aug 13 2007, 03:18 PM) See, I was the complete opposite of that. I always used to think SH2 was my favourite scary game. But jesus, Condemned absolutley scares the fucking shit out of me. (and I've only just started it recently, since I wrote it off at laucnh like an idiot) From what I know of Bioshock, it's not so much scary, more freaky/weird. The enemies in it are fucked up. Case in point from the demo:
the woman with the pram - sobbing and hysterical, you almost don't want to see what's in that pram. Then you look. And it's a pistol.
The game is mental, I like it a lot - but it's a completely different kind of 'scariness' to Silent Hill. I like the old couple arguing at the kitchen door.
If you kill the man, the woman comes out, finds her husband dead and goes crazy.
|

QUOTE(Shindig @ Aug 13 2007, 01:03 PM) Slightly off topic but I've always wanted to see if it's possible in Hitman: Blood Money to push a person over a balcony and see if their body can kill somebody (such as a target), making the hit a daft accident. I've had that in my head every since you could knock guards out on MGS2 like that. I dunno in Blood Money, but I believe it's possible in most of the Looking Glass/Ion Storm games. I believe I did it in Deus Ex. (I always wanted to play Deus Ex in a SUPER MARIO BROTHERS mode, only defeating enemy from jumping at great heights and falling on their heads.) KG |

I had no problem with downloading the demo, it was done in 30-40 mins.
I like how you feel powerful with your powers (your left hands looks infinitely cool) and when you finish the demo you see a movie with all your powers, each more insane than the other. I thought I'd maybe want to buy this for the atmosphere, but it seems this will be the most fun FPS ever. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) One question though:
the movie seems to suggest you can control those flying robots by using electricity, which I never tried at the one in the demo (I just dodged him). Can anyone confirm this?
|

Yes, but there are fun things you can do once you've hacked them, for example
stick a proximity mine on them, making them moving deathtraps - giggle as your enemies try to take them out, then boom!
The adlib combat is definitely the standout feature of the game. |

It's all good. I restarted the xbox and now I'm at 87% in less than 15mins. Gah, spoke too soon. It's only gone from 89% to 91% in the last 15mins (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |
