RFC 6 Card
Throbin Hood v bastion Stigweard v Big Gus *chin* v luckypierre Swallow v PeterUK --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TOURNAMENT DRAW MADE HERE! Ok, noone has made a topic about this and seeing as I am so pissed off with quitters I thought I would. Talking 360 here guys. Sorry PS3 fellas. Put your name, and GamerTag, down here if you are interested, I will keep a record of names. Current Rankings Find them HERE Competition Rules The game week will run from Monday to Sunday. We will be using UFC figthers only in the RLLMUKFC. Getting started There will be a 16-man tournament held to determine the initial rankings for the RLLMUKFC championship. The winner of the 16-man tournament becomes the first RLLMUKFC champion. The rankings will be sorted by finishing place and time taken to win the match. Eg. Rank 1 and 2 will be decided in the final, but the 2 defeated semi-finalists will be sorted by how long their fight lasted. So the person that lasted longest in their fight will rank higher. Same goes for the rest of the rankings in the tournament stage. Challenges Each fighter must have at least one fight a week. A fighter can challenge anyone, but the challengee can reject the fight if the challenger is not within 2 places of them. Ie. If you are 5th in the rankings, you must accept a challenge from 3rd, 4th, 6th or 7th, if you receive one. A fighter can also reject a fight if he has already accepted a fight in the current game week, or if they have been challenged on the Friday. (Unless you do not have a fight scheduled for the current game week.) 2 fighters cannot fight each other 2 weeks in a row. Getting your fight played Try to get your fight organised before the Sunday evening deadline for the current game week. If you do not fight, the fight will be awarded to the fighter who made most attempts, in this forum, to get the fight played. If you believe you cannot get the fight played, PM me and your opponent to state this and we will try to get something organised. The challenger will host the fight and therefore chooses the weight class for the fight. Each fight will be 3 x 5 min rounds, unless one of the fighters is the current champion, this will then be 5 x 5 min rounds with the winner becoming the new RLLMUKFC champion. The challengee gets to choose fighter first in the selection screen. Reporting the fight Report here the result of your fight, including Round and Time of win and method. Eg. SnoopZakaDaVe beat *chin* in Round 1 (0:53) by TKO Ranking There will be 30 points for a win and 10 points for a loss. Straight after the tournament points will be worked as an average of Total Points / Matches played. Therefore the winner of the tournament will start on 30 points (4 x 30 / 4), second begins on 23 points (3 x 30 / 4 = 22.5 rounded), etc. Once the challenges begin the points are worked out as follows: ((Current points x Fights - 1) + Points for match + (Your Ranking / Opponent Ranking)) / Total Matches Therefore, if the second place player in the tournament beats the 16th player in their next match the new point total will be: ((23 x 4) + 30 + (2 / 16)) / 5 = (122 + 1/8) / 5 = 24.425 = 24 Whereas, if the second place player in the tournament loses to the 16th player in their next match the new point total will be: (92 + 0 + (2 / 16)) / 5 = 90.125 / 5 = 18.425 = 18 And 16th place player would be: (0 + 30 + (16 / 2)) / 2 = 38 / 2 = 19 This ranking system means there is more reward for lower placed figthers, figthing the upper card fighters. It may seem a bit confusing but I hope it is fairly transparent. If you fail to fight in a given week you are given a default loss and ranking points worked out the same way. If you have a challenge and fail to fight, without any good reason, the other fighter is given the win and ranking points worked out as above. Conclusion I might have missed something out here but we don't want to make the competition too complicated. If you see anything missing here please post up here and I will see if it needs to go in. I will post up the tournament table tonight and I will hope we have the tournament finished by Sunday evening. Other than that: ARE YOU READY?! ARE YOU READY?! LETS GET IT ON! Put me down. Big Gus73.
I've not voted cause to be honest I don't have a preference to weight class or type of fighter. I'm quite new and raw to the game so any online "practise" will do me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Fighter: Rashad Evans. I think we'll need some other way of deciding who we fight as seeing as two people cannot fight as the same person. It'll probably have to be a random draw, first one out picks who they want, second then picks, etc. But we'll see. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

I'm down for some of this (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
gamertag is Spuckuk Actually, I just want to play any sort of online friendlies as well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) My CAF is coming on well overall, shame there aren't any more Judo users in the stock characters! as for fighter picks, why not do what the sf4 leagues do and have matches as home and away, home fighter gets first pick (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

You can organise friendlies in here too, but I'd like to keep the competitive spirit too! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) The method for choosing characters is interesting but I don't think it'll work for this. I don't want to have to play home/away matches as it isn't really going to be a league, if you lose you lose and your ranking suffers. Maybe the challenger chooses the weight class and character, the challengee then chooses. But if you guys would rather have a league then thats fine by me and we can use the SFIV method of choosing. |

I would be interested in this, but I've just moved house and Virgin are being dicks about moving my services (because I'm moving from a cable area to a non-cable area). Anyway, long and short is I don't have net access and don't look to have any for a couple of weeks. So put me down as interested but non-commital at the moment.
Gamertag is Scribblor. I'm really not very good, but I'll happily be a punching bag for people. |

Its only a problem if the opposition picks the same fighter. So if you select two then there is no problem.
I'd just leave it open to pick whatever fighter you want and sort it out in the lobby. A gentlemens agreement that whoever is lower rank gets the pick. For the first set of fights you could just flip a coin and highlight who would have the choice if it was needed. |

I was pretty much planning on going Chuck, so this shouldn't cause too many conflicts (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
Actually, I really like the challenges idea Chin, lets people play as much or little as they want, handy for slackers (me) |

Oh, I see almost everyone voted against CAFs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Shame, as they're balanced, as long as you limit them to realistic stats, and you do get to build someone up as you like them. Limiting them to a max 95/min 30 overall and individual ratings would keep things on an even keel, surely?

I would be down for some fun with this.
One way to pick fighters would be to say whoever hosts the game gets 2nd pick or something similar. The more important question is whether you allow CAFs or not, if you do then it should only be fair to limit the CAFs overall rating to something similar to the guys in the game. People playing with CAFs with crazy overall ratings of 100 and above is just mean. I think an overall of at least a point below the top guy in the division should be ok, so if the top guy is 94 your CAF should be 93 or lower. I would like to use CAFs purely because of a lack of diversity in some of the weight divisions. There are virtually no Judo fighters and way too many wrestlers. I currently have 3 CAFs being built in different weight classes all with Judo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol.gif) If anyone wants a load of friendly games or some sparring sessions then add me, GT is: Throbin Hood |

Yeah maybe the challenger hosts the game (and therefore chooses weight class) but the challengee gets to chose fighter first. I'd be willing to allow CAF under strict rules too, even though I voted for UFC only. But yeah we could do both so long as the CAF isn't ridiculously over-powered.

Sadly don't have access to live until I go home in about two weeks. Will see what's what then though. Cheers for the invite anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .
