how big is episode 2? I fancy trading bioshock for this as i'm not going to spend full whack on something that contains 2 games I already own. Really fancy playing portal.

Portal and Episode 2 will probably give you as much play time as Bioshock i reckon. And then you'll have TF2 on top of that for some added multiplayer fun (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It's not even fit to start crawling into Portal's shadow in terms of pure fun. |

I've hardly even played Bioshock. It looked great but I found it incredibly dull to play.
Any trade-in offers on this then? I have them all for the PC, but wouldn't mind going through them again on the 360... |

I stayed up 'til 3am to finish Portal, but oh man - it's made of EPIC WIN. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
It's more story-driven than I thought it would be, but I absolutely love the way it goes completely off the rails towards the end. No spoilers, but... wow. Didn't get the
HL link
, but I've not
played Ep2
yet, so I'll have to see how that turns out. Slightly disappointed that most of the puzzles seen in the original trailer don't show up in the final game, but what's there is still good. Having played Narbacular Drop, it wasn't quite the "OMFGMYHEADHURTS" that it would perhaps be to n00bs, but nonetheless the puzzles requiring momentum are inspired and ingeniously cunning. QUOTE(kaijin @ Oct 10 2007, 07:11 PM) I've just finished Portal. It's absolutely fantastic. Very short but incredibly sweet. I don't think I've smiled that much while playing a game in a long time. They so need to add that portal gun to Episode 3. They probably won't, 'cos then we'd need to see Gordon Freeman in-game, which seems to be something of a big no-no for Valve (see: the invisible arms, etc.). Just more Portal levels, please. I haven't tried the advanced ones yet... |

Regarding Portal, did anybody else
think that the furnace was the end of the game? and for a while happily embrace their firey end due to nothing more than sheer pride and gratitude towards the fun they had? It wasn't until I noticed that the walls were portalable that I even considered that it might not be the end (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) and I was oh so happy when I found that it wasn't!
I'm going to play it again when I get home (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) |
