And no doubt you'll get many more.

Man, the R1 UE already stands tall and proud on my shelve, so it would need to be a pretty damn impressive set to splash out on again.

Quote

The T2 Endoskull with glowing eyes and soundchip should actually be the packaging and is reportedly 35 cm high and 17.5 cm wide. The Blu-Ray contains the Theatrical Cut, the Director's Cut and the "Extendend Special Edition", thanks to seamless branching.
Additionally a DVD with the the Director's Cut should be included.

Also confirmed for a UK release.

Double edit:

* Multiple THX-certified high-definition versions of the film
* All-new English 6.1 DTS-HD Master Audio Lossless
* Picture-in-picture of behind the scenes video, text commentaries and multimedia galleries
* Storyboard-script mode – view storyboards and read the script while watching the film
* Interactive quizzes and games
* BD-Live enabled, featuring games, extra content and more for Internet-connected players
* Audio commentary with 26 cast and crew members
* Audio commentary with director James Cameron and co-writer William Wisher
* Enhanced for D-Box Motion Control Systems
* Includes THX Optimizer

It's coming, DVDActive have an announcement and specs from Sony, just no confirmed release date. Get the Canadian,(Region free like the US disc, just cheaper and with a bit of French text on the cover), release from Playusa, it's £13.99 and has all the extras,(including commentary), from the special edition DVD. Also has a DTS-HD-MA audio track.

I got 2001. I'm flying to Florida to assassinate Crispin if it's not much better than my DVD copy.

Are they going to get the picture right this time? My US Blu-ray was not impressive at all.

Is that the Truman Capote adaptation? I loved the book.

Aye it is, it was actually filmed in the Clutter House.

The Blu-Ray is just out in the US but the film is well worth tracking down.

Seven (or 'se7en', or whatever) is out on Blu-Ray in Canada on Monday.

It's region locked unfortunately, but apparently it's only 1080i and in the wrong aspect ratio (1.78:1 instead of 2.35:1). Honestly, what is the fucking point? :)

I've got Wall-E to watch tonight on shiny shiny blu-ray! I should be using my PS3 to play Dead Space, but it'll have to wait.

EIV / Alliance are notoriously shit on the BR front. And it's a vanilla release, to boot.

We should have moved past this kind of shit years ago.

That's almost Sega Master System box quality.

Saw The French Connection on Blu-ray today. Needn't have bothered, Friedkin fucked that up good and proper. The geek backlash is justified on this one, a terrible, terrible visual re-imaging by Friedkin, who's also threatening to do the same to The Exorcist. Silly old bastard!

On the flip-side, also saw The Rules Of Attraction and fell in love with it all over again. Not the best disc in the world, but still better than the shite I'd watched beforehand.
