What Are We Expecting:
Vita, Vita and more Vita. Saying that, there's been plenty of buzz about Sony upgrading their Playstation Plus service with cloud streaming and a more tiered price offering. Plus will also be announced for Vita.
There's also going to be a host of games of course. Sony has the habit of revealing many of it's upcoming schedule ahead of E3, and this year has been no different. So far we've had:
- God of War: Ascension
- Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault
- Sports Champions 2
- The Last of Us
- The Last Guardian
- Sony Allstars: Battle Royale
- Sly 4
- Ni No Kuni
- Dust 514
- The Witch & The Hundred Knights
- Warrior's Lair
- Little Big Planet Karting
- Papo & Yo
- The Unfinished Swan
The real meat of the show will be Vita though. Already it sounds as though Sony are going to be pushing the platform hard, with recent announcements/leaks including:
- Sly 4
- Assassins Creed 3: Liberation
- Medal of Honour: Warfighter
- Sony Allstars: Battle Royale
- Ghost Recon: Final Mission
- Need For Speed
- Jet Set Radio
- Little Big Planet: Karting
- Call of Duty
- Bioshock
- Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection
- Lego Batman 2
- Oddworld: Strangers Wrath
- Little Big Planet
- Killzone
- Phantasy Star: Online 2
- Soul Sacrifice
- Urban Trials
- Rayman: Legends
- Retro City Rampage
- Sound Shapes
- Gravity Daze
- Guacamelee
- ...and a multitude of other smaller titles
What We Got:

Take a look at that list above, take a good look and then ask yourself why Sony chose to talk about just 5 of them... five.....F.I.V.E....fyyyyvvvvveee, God of War, Last Of Us, Sony All Stars, Assassins Creed Vita and Beyond (New Quantic Dream).
No talk of cloud gaming initiatives, no remarkable new services for either PS3 or Vita announced, no Vita price cut (although an Assassins Creed bundle is planned), no shake up of the Plus service (although current NA subscribers do get Infamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Just Cause 2 and Saints Row 2) and no surprise exclusives.
The only big surprise was a JK Rowling partnership on a new initiative called 'Wonder Book', which is a Move compatible children's book, which features plenty of AR tricks.
Last Of Us was the star of the show, and shows that this is a surprisingly violent but markedly different game to Uncharted. Looks awesome.
Overall though, this was a huge disappointment, and based on their release schedule, it didn't need to be. I honestly don't know what they're playing at, but to be frank, it was a waste of a great stage. Gutted.
