Super Brothers in 7.1

Fixed.

I kind of preferred Future because it had less timed sections and so there wasn't as much memorisation and restarts, but the first game was still good fun.

Wasn't this confirmed aeons ago in a leaked dashboard screenie?

I wish it was Future instead. :(

I've played JSR loads, not so much Future.

Please be a good port, I adore Jet Set & Future.

The Sonic CD & Daytona USA releases were stunning, but all the Sega Developed XBLA Dreamcast games have a bad track record.

Obviously good news, but Sega's existing DC ports aren't exactly renowned for being well ported. I urge cautious optimism.

I played both Sonic Adventure & Crazy Taxi PSN ports and they were pretty awful, they were bordered! Like an emulator...

Were the other games like that (Space Channel 5 Pt. 2, Sega Bass Fishing)?

Big question is, which version of the soundtrack will we get? The US one was worst, Japanese one OK but the UK version had a few awesome specific tracks like this:

+1

I know for the purists, JSR is the definitive one, but for me, the controls, odd camera behaviour and general all round difficulty makes the first game an exercise in frustration, on more than one occasion i sent my DC controller flying across the room in anger.

For me JSRF is the far more enjoyable game play experience

You're assuming the game gets the entire OST anyway. That's a lot of music for Sega to re-license... and we all know their track record with that.

Hmm. Downer on one of my favourite games of all time. How jaded am I?

Yay! Very excited. I always preferred the first one because of the tight time limits. That said, if Future hit XBLA I'd buy that in a heartbeat too.

A good idea, but I took a look at GAF and according to MANZ, Sega hold the rights on everything but Guitar Vader, J5 and Rob Zombie.

Ah man, please may this be a good port!

Crazy Taxi was one of my favourite games on the DC, sunk so many hours into that back in the day. Downloaded the XBLA demo and it felt just all wrong, and wasn't half the music missing? And no licensed shops!

Maybe it just aged badly but I have such rose tinted specs with JSR that a shoddy port would be massively disappointing.

Seeing JSR running for the first time on a demo pod in Woolworths was the moment I *got * all the fuss about the Dreamcast. So stylish, and fluid. And the music! I used to switch the DC on with the game in and leave it running just as wicked background music while I was doing stuff around the house...

Day well and truly made :D

EDIT: The JSR and JSRF soundtracks are the only game music I keep on my iPod... I'd carry the full games around with me if I could, but that's as close as I can get for now.

Isn't JSRF backwards compatible anyway? If so a port wouldn't be hard would it?

Please Sega do a great job on the conversion. I'll settle for 'good job' but a great job would be nice for a change.
