Well they could hardly dig up Freddie Mercury...

The missus wants to go to that for Faith No More. We've already seen them twice in recent years  I'd like to see Mastodon again, and Andrew WK though.

So far the list is for this year is looking like Download, Optimus Alive in Portugal and Reading. End of the Road is a strong possibility, but I dunno if I could do it after the session that Reading normally involves.

Exactly, which means they should leve it alone, not use a American Idol reject to cover Freddie.

I really want to go to Primavera, but I imagine I'll be too poor at the time.

The Jeff Mangum ATP weekend looks awesome, but again, it's a chuffin' pricey weekend of boozing is ATP festival. Looks great though.

End of the Road always looks good, but they're doing another festival in Nottinghamshire this year called No Direction Home, which is shaping up to be okay.

Oh, that is nasty from May and Taylor. They might get away with something like that at V, but there should be no place for Adam Lambert at a rock festival. I can't take Queen seriously with a lead singer who's younger than me. It shouldn't be allowed.

I'd rather see a Queen tribute act than this botched reforming, it's just sad.

Howjamean?

We're planning on bringing enough Gin to drown in, pre-mix it in 1ltr/1.5ltr bottles and carting it around most of the day.

Add Buckfast and Super Tennants to the mix...

Well I've booked my flights, transfers and ticket for Boom Festival in Portugal! I doubt it will be of any interest to most of you mind, but one huge plus about this is that it's a 7 day festival around a huge lake in the middle of summer so it'll be hot hot hot - excited doesn't even cover it!

Queen are a pop act loved by our mums and aunties so its hardly a huge surprise to see that they are now fronted by a pop singer known from a TV series loved by our mums and aunties

Come to Mostly Jazz in Birmingham. He's one of the 'curators'.

Update on Mostly Jazz: Parliament/Funkadelic are headlining the Sunday!

I went to Glastonbury last year and Global Gathering the year before. Both were decent.

I'm eyeing up Bennicassim and/or Ultra Music Festival in Warsaw this year. Decisions :x

Fuck.

Mostly Jazz it'll have to be.

I'm taking the family (we go every year). It's across the road from my house. If you or Art or anyone else wants to have a pint of Purity let me know. Also if you need any local knowledge. Can't put anyone up as I already have a friend coming up for it.

Parliament/funkadelic. In Moseley. :panic:

I'm going to A State of Trance 550 in Den Bosch on the 31st of March and I'd like to do Sunrise festival in Poland sometime this year but it depends on funds and finding a job when I finish Uni in June. However, more importantly, I've recently been booked to DJ at my first proper festival at the end of June which is the Xstatic Summer Festival in Derbyshire, so I'm over the moon about that. Line up is pretty good too!!

Got myself a Bestival ticket a couple of weeks ago. Already a great line up, but it just got a hell of a lot better now a certain Mr Stevie Wonder has been announced as the Sunday headline.

TIM MINCHIN?

Whats he going to do.

Some songs, probably? You know his routine is at least 50% musical, right?

Not surprising but Sonisphere's been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

Yep, no idea what the fuck they were playing at with waiting so long to announce such an underwhelming line up.

It's a shame though, I went to all 3 of them and each one was brilliant, and offered something different to Download.

I'm off to the Optumus Alive festival in Portugal. I have tickets for the Sunday which is the last day, fancied a bit of Radiohead in the sun.

Here's a few from the line up:

Anyone been to the Isle Of Wight festival before? I've been asked to go shoot it, but wondered how much of a hassle it is getting there. Taking a car on the ferry looks prohibitively expensive (£60+ each way), so how easy is it getting to it by public transport (and can I park my car somewhere near a ferry port on the mainland?)?

I'm pretty chuffed - justified as a late birthday present - a mate (who's cock I have not sucked) is taking me to Lyon to attend an evening as part of the Nuit festival. Flying Lotus, DOOM, Fourtet, Theo Parrish, Kool Keith are all confirmed for May 18.

That's too long a list for me to deal with right now, but Blanck Mass, Cloud Nothings and Forest Swords should be worth a look.

I dreamed last night I went to a music festival in Kosovo called Beach House that had Ricardo Villallobos and the Mars Volta playing. Good times.
