Just got two Matinee specials in against the Grand Persuviant!

Hard games that I lost, but enjoyable as I didnt just sit down and sulk about it,
I played the game to get as much practice as possible. I'd not played it since Skyrim came out see! which is bad, very bad for me.

Game 1 Monterrey 1 PSV 7

The Grand Persuviant crept up on me with this score, scoring steadily with a few goals either half.
I played up my game a little to nab a well earned token goal :)

Game 2 PSV 3 Monterrey 0

I shut up ashop again with 5 at the back, which worked well. But all 3 goals were
scored late on in the match in a run against play. I had a few chances in a much better encounter!

I happy to be here :) as they say

6 points to the GP

and well earned too may I say. Thanks for the Games!

Cheers for the games Dannon. I feel like such a fucker coming away with all 6 points. You absolutely dominated in the first, and nothing was falling for you all day. Best of luck for the rest of the season mate.

After a long week of nights ( and dodging fixtures :D ) I just played Pants McSkill

And, having put Skyrim down and got a small bit of practice in for a change:

Game one was away first to Rubin Kazans temple:

Result was Rubin 0 Monterrey 0 1 point in the bag!

Mainly down to my formation I guess.
But with me being the unconventional one,
I play a better attacking game in this formation.

Pants will testify, there were chances either end..
but my keeper was the star man here!

Game two I went with the same tactic and was an equally tight game!
but Rubin Kazan undid me with two well taken shots.

Monterrey 0 Rubin 2

Fifa can be so unpredictable. Thanks so much for two games that felt good.

cheers Pants!

Cracking games, and your defence was really solid in both matches! I'll put a full write-up in soon, but you totally deserved more than just a point.

Man, it's tight in this league! Three points separating the top 5, Witty only two points behind, and Broon just behind him with two games in hand. It's just about the halfway point in the season and I dare anyone to predict the top two.

Cheers for the games and chat, pal. How I nicked a point from the first game is a mystery - it was an absolute battering. How many times did you hit the woodwork?! Second game had nil-nil written all over it!
Good luck for the rest - I reckon you'll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

Kirkys killer clowns SPARTAk moscow 1 - 0 PSV TCP Eindhoven

A very tight game, Wellinton again settled the nerves on 72 minutes with a clinical strike. The game was tense with slightly more chances and possesion to the russians but could have easliy gone the other way. The defences were on top for the most part.

PSV TCp Eindhoven 0 - 2 Kirkys killer Clowns Spartak

Again another tense game, Spartak had more pressure and shots in this game though (12 to 6) and rattled the post either side of the first goal again by taht man Wellinton who used his pace to leave the defence behind on a fast counter attacking move to lsot cooly into the net. The game was settled on 90 minutes with an effort from just out side the box in off the post from Ari.

PSV could count themselves unlucky to receive nothing from the games but thee points are much needed by me to keep the pack off my tail, its very tight at the top guys, excellent competitive league so far!

Hey then!

Just played two stonking games against Br00n :)

Game one was at Monterrey Towers. It was a good end to end affair, but my finishing was Woeful. 3 good goals from Stuttgart.

Monterrey 0 Stuttgart 3

Game two was excellent, with Suazo bagging a couple (finally waking up)
it was 0-1 , 1-1 , 1-2 and finally 2-2 !

so a 2-2 draw. Very well fought back Br00n very enjoyable!

Stuttgart 2 Monterrey 2

Many thanks to Br00n for two good uns :)

1st game scoreline flattered me if I'm being honest.

2 game was a fifa special from my point if view. my keeper playing it right to you player in the box for your first and my back-line going awol for an over the top ball for your second. Then it was bar, wonder save x 3, bar, last ditch slide, wonder save.

infuriating but good fun mate

The real joy in the football league is meeting cool new people. There's a lot of really decent blokes in here - blokes that if I were to know them in real life, I'd probably count them as friends. I'm sure there's plenty who feel the same way - if you do, I'd recommend a friendly against Stalking Future. We certainly would have had even higher scoring games if it wasn't for us laughing or him screaming at the ineptitude of his players - which made me laugh even more.

The games themselves were all over the place. Game one's constant goalmouth action is somehow absent from the stats - there needs to be a 'crosses attempted' stat. Game two I took a very comfortable 3-0 lead, only for SF to deservedly boss the game from the 35th minute onwards. Only the woodwork and some 'keeper heroics gave me the three points.
Looking at the stats, it's a travesty SF didn't take something from these. It's the first time this season I've been beaten on possession or on pass accuracy in both games. With a few tweaks to his defending style he could easily be a promotion contender next season.

With only three games after this fixture and Kirky & Br00n waiting for a slip-up, a win apiece doesn't do either any favours.

Will tonight's (probably) game be an all-out, end to end, goal fest?

Finally back. Go looking for the FIFA disc. It's nowhere to be seen. I actually call my housemate in an attempt to find it. He's taken it halfway across London (the bit of London I just bloody came from) so he can play it with his brother.

You know, me and Pants could conceivably play a live game (if something like that is even allowed). The victor could post smug, gloating pictures of himself lording it over his opponent, as the loser gazes hopelessly in to a pit of despair, his title chances for the season dashed beyond all hope of repair.

Caught up with Broon on Wednesday night.

Tough stuff

kirky72 spartak 0 - 0 Broon Stuttgart

Very tight tense game, both defended well closing down the space with no great chances, I had the lions share of the possesion but couldnt find a way through the tight defence.

Broon Stuttgart 0 - 3 Kirky72 Spartak

A much more open game, i attacked alot more and pressed hard with lots of penetrating possesion and finally broke through once i did broon had to open up and it lead to more space and chances, we both hit the post and could have easily been 4 or 5 2.

Goals, ari with a good finish, wellington with a penalty and a tall lanky midfielder that I cant remember or spell with an unopposed header.
