More than enough funny in that to make my roast beef sandwich nearly go down the wrong way. I'm in.

Four minute clip
http://www.comingsoo...ws.php?id=90202

(bear in mind, if you watch that clip and the trailers, you've only got about 65 minutes of film left to see)

I'd rather that than a 130-minute Judd Apatow snooze-fest. Comedies are too fucking long these days.

And this looks funny!

Yeah, saw the trailer for this before Avengers and it looks fucking appalling.

Well, im working nights so i popped into cineworld for the 1830 showing just now. My score is Aladeen/10! Was very funny from a straight in cold viewing. I could maybe see it a couple more times. Theres some classic pieces in there not in the trailers. Its 200 per cent better than bruno at least! Enjoy. And, death to the west!

But Bruno was funny, except to weird homophobes who were creeped out by the humour.

Of course Bruno was funny! loved it.

But this is a lot more with-it and witty.

He should bloody well get it over with and make a Pink Panther film already!

He almost got it right before look-wise:

What works well in The Dictator, is that there are some funny supporting actors within the film.
Youll see its not all about Sacha Baron Cohen.

Trailer looks good!

Around 90 minutes is perfect for a comedy. As much as I have enjoyed films like Bridesmaids, Stupid Crazy Love, tThe ones with Russell Brands and Superbad, they have all felt too long with plenty of material that would have been better left on the cutting room floor.

I quite enjoyed it overall, but that trailer above does include pretty much every decent laugh in the film. Glad I hadn't sen it beforehand.

Yeah avoid the trailer because it does give the best laughs away. I didn't the film was all that great or funny. It could have been a lot funnier and I expected more from Cohen. For me the film was over too quickly, I was waiting for ages for it to provide a good laugh.

I laughed harder at the Avengers than I did for this. Says a lot.

Surely his role in Hugo proved he was born to play officer crabtree?

i paid £15 to see this in Leicester Square the other night. it's one of the worst comedies i can ever remember seeing. i don't know what's happened to this guy but he just isn't funny any more. even parts of Bruno were hilarious but i felt like i had to force something sitting through this because it was awkward watching jokes fall flat for 90 minutes. actually, now that i think about it: Da Ali G Movie still ranks as the number one worst film i've ever seen. keep him away from scripts!

the only thing that made me laugh was the blooper reel at the end when he tells some guy not to actually touch his asshole: 'just give me a couple of millimetres to myself.'

Whaaaaaaat. Indahouse was spectacular!

Tangentially, I had a lecture course from Simon Baron Cohen (Sacha's cousin), who's one of the world's leading autism experts, in my first year.

Ive worked it out.

Its not funny to many because of society evolution
people do not like whacky in 2012.

Now, you have to make safe clever and intelligent comedy dramas like The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
Or something else with Bill Nighy or Hugh Grant in it.

there is simply no room for offensive clowns in fims or on TV anymore :(
Apart from Rhys Ifans perhaps. - But again he has to appear with Hugh Grant.

I love offensive stupid jokes as much as the next nerd. But this, bar a couple of lines, was just not funny.
