The script I used to do all this fetched, parsed and filtered 2756 individual votes, from 99 entries.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light were the titles with the most unique spellings, each had 12 variants.

The scoring system used this year was 10 points for 1st preference, 9 points for 2nd, though to 6 points for 5th. This is a compromise between the 1 vote = 1 point system some asked for, and the Borda Count we’ve used in the past. The preference weighting was useful for resolving a handful of ties.

Joyrex-J9 really didn’t like Fallout:New Vegas, and tried to vote for it twice in the ‘Hall of Shame’ category.

Just do it. It will pay off in the long run.
You can finish ME1 in about 7 hrs or even less if you just stick to the main quest line, which is advisable anyway as all the side stuff is filler shit.

If you do this little chore it will properly pay off and you can experience the rllmuk goty in it's full awesome glory .

Just complete it. Mass Effect 2 is great but Mass Effect 1 is better in some respects and it has one the best final couple of hours of any game, ever. Plus there's a lot of stuff in ME2 which won't mean as much if you don't finish ME1. I know it's a bit clunky but if you just play through the main story and do some stuff on the Citadel it won't take that long.

This is totally a result of the multiple, piecemeal catagorisation that I lobbied to bin this year. A few games will receive false accolade simply due to their platform exclusivity, while a whole slew of multiplatform titles unfairly miss out. Vanquish & SSFIV are two examples that I though rllmuk would have placed highly in these goty "awards" but I guess not. I certainly did vote for them.

Pretty gutted about the lack of Rock Band 3 (and I was expecting Blur to get a bit more love) but really pleased to see Picross 3D scrape into the top five.

For what it's worth, I think extending the voting to five for each category was a smart move.
