Thanks!

Now to find some of that stuff... Things like this don't feel as simple as Oblivion.

You have to talk to both sides before the end games plays out ... so it's helpfull to be neutral up to that point i think.
It effects how a portion of the main quest plays out if you ally with one side or the other as its a negotiation for a temporary truce between the 2 sides. If you've already won for one side or the other this is obviously skipped.

It's really interesting playing the game all modded up the way I want. First thing I've noticed is how easy the vanilla game is. The game i'm playing now is pretty bastard hard! But much more fun and rewarding for it.

At the moment if I see a Dragon i'm running for my life lol. But that's how I think Dragons should be. Im going on trying to kill one soon and am planning and collecting all the things i think Ill need.

They all make a minor portion?
Bloody hell. There must be a million combos.
yes, each ingrediant has four possible uses and most postions come in various levels, health for instance starts at about 25 points and goes up 50, 75, 150. then you can add in potions to improve potion making and tech tree buffs.

so yes there are millions of combinations.

But once you get the top health one and maybe sneaking, smithing and potion making the rest are just there to sell and make money. I thik i used the slow and vicious poison ones when i remebered i had them. but mostly i just sold them, then used them to fill the stair well entrance in Malcina and trap the wife in there. Mmmmwwhahahhahahahahahaa

Cidnha Mine quest, I chose the "Brawl" option to get by the guard. Won the fight, but for some reason the guard wasn't able to get out of his "near death" animation so when the guy made his speech & everyone ran off to the next area he was reduced to slowly dragging himself across the floor & down the passage like I'd crippled him. (I hadn't. He was fine in the next area).

It was painfull to watch & really made me feel bad.

That quest broke for me, I think I resisted when I was supposed to turn myself in, so it ended up completed in my quest log and I found myself unable to do anything other than shank people for no reason at all, or serve my time. A shame, as I enjoyed the revelation I got just before that.

Found an easy way to level up Alteration.
Just use Telekinesis to levitate any small object for as long as your Magicka lasts. It should level up every 1 or 2 times you do it.
I jumped from 60 to 88 in Alteration in the course of a single in-game afternoon & was able to max out the Mage Armour & Magic Resistance perks, which should hopefully counteract the slightly stronger enemies this level increase (20 to 24) will make me face & will also give me a much better chance against weaker ones.

Mine came out at 24. Hmm. I freely admit I'm not much of a mage character because I like to BASH THINGS IN THE FACE with my mace and shield, but I think it'll be ages until I can make anything better.

I find it hard to justify putting Perks into Alchemy or Enchanting as its something that I view as needing a lot to make it useful & there are (at least for now) so many others that provide more direct benefits. Once the returns on the other skill trees start diminishing I'll throw some perks their way.

Alchemy absorbs a lot of perks if you want to do it properly, as do all the crafting skills. I've been toying with the idea of creating an "artisan" type character who specialises in Enchanting, Smithing and Alchemy, though I guess you'd need a combat skill in there to even it out.

You've gotta love this games glitches sometimes.

I started a new character Intending to focus on melee, but when it came to the scene at the start where the Dragon swoops down he kept missing the tower so the executioner was stuck waiting for him as he flew round & round.

I was half expecting an irate director to yell "cut!" & start chewing the dragon out for missing his cue. ;)

I thought the latest patch fixed the 'rimlag' issue on PS3 ... abviously I'm wrong, I'm starting to get a fair bit of stuttering now.

Since I've decided to start this again I may as well ask: Does anyone have any idea how to fix the stutter problem when I turn the camera (pc)?

It's driving me nuts. My frame rate is rock solid but I can't lose the stutter. I have tried EVERYTHING (every ini tweak imaginable) but no solution. Ati has giving me stutter problem in some other games, too, so that's the last ati card I'll be buying.

Skyrim's problem seems to be on both cards though.

If someone has a solution that actually works, please pm me.

Whoa! That's a first. I just fought not one, but TWO dragons. Never happened to me before.
I decided to sell all the loot I had stored up and would never use so needed to do a round of all the major holds. It was much quicker if I dumped all my usual gear and armour of course, a good 70 capacity used up on that. So off I set carrying all my stuff wearing just the Barmaids outfit and some leather boots.

I go through the holds and sell my gear and finally arrive at Winterhold. I get rid of the last of my shit and walk out of the shop carrying nothing but the dress and shoes I'm wearing and 120,000 septims.

Cue Dragon.

"Oh fuck", I say. I decide to leg it out of town to get away so I can fast travel.

Cue 2nd Dragon.

"Oh cunting fuck", I say. I decide to run back to town and go the other way. I make it to the College courtyard and hide for a bit, but Dragon #1 decides to make a home on the battlements and wait for me. Dragon #2 is killing everything that moves in town.

After about 5 minutes of not knowing what the fuck to do I decide to just bolt for it. I make it to the edge of town, now with two dragons following me and run smack into 3 CUNTING BEARS. I run back the other way.

In the end I sneaked (thank christ for 100 sneak skill) for nearly 10 minutes and swam to some island in the middle of nowhere to fast travel.

I fast travelled to Whiterun and was promptly killed by a Dragon that spawned over it.

I fucking hate dragons.

I've never had a Dragon attack in Whiterun. I considered it a kind of safe "hub" area & was surprised to learn it has the same chance of being attacked as the other towns.

The same chance as everywhere else? That's insane. I've spent an inhuman amount of time in Whiterun and have never had a dragon attack there. What are the odds.

I need to finish this game soon. I'm making good headway but have still got tonnes to do. I've not even started the Bard's College or Dark Brotherhood quest lines yet but have finished the Mage's college and Companions lines and have got one mission left of the Thieves Guild line (because a certain item I have to return is a little too useful to give up just yet). I have spent faaaar too long doing misc quests and am now strolling about at level 50 something mashing shit up.

Not touched alchemy at all either, which maybe I should. Such a big game.

The Daedric quests are fun though. Done most of them but messed up one of the first that I did (Hircine) so probably won't get the achievement. Sad times.

I've only ever had two attack me in Whiterun itself. The evil cunt who robbed me of my cash, and one quite early on.

That one was also annoying as it's skeleton refused to disappear and was stuck outside my house (literally right outside). Eventually because it would go all St. Vitus Dance whenever I fast travelled in it managed to get wedged halfway into my house and into the place next door. I got so annoyed with having a big fuck off Dragon's corpse in my front room that I moved to Riften.

I assume a patch somewhere along the way fixed it since when I eventually went back there it had finally gone.

I've come back to Skyrim after a few months break. Want to tie up the main quest and probably do the Companions and Civil War on this character. As a giant Nord who likes smacking people with his spiky shield he isn't too suited to Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild. I've justified him in the Daedra lines as a Moorcockian type who feels he can bargain with the higher powers because he is such a bad ass and because he holds such high contempt for them. Or something.

I've remembered why I never got the main quest done though, there is so much to bloody do! I was just loafing about the wilderness and I found a shack with some old codger and his grandson and he's sent me off on another 'proper' quest. I can't keep up. I'm trying to do one quest to every main quest chunk now, just captured the dragon in Whiterun, but the Jarl's son is a whacko so I'll do that before flitting off to Sovngarde.

Finding some challenge again, guessing them patches did something? Elder and Ancient Dragons can really shit me up now.

I don't know, but it happened to me and pretty early in the game too (I think it was the third or fourth attack including 2 triggered by the story. In fact, I thought it was part of the story, but it turned out to be an unscripted random event. It was pretty exhilirating, the dragon was sitting on top of my fucking house!

Also got a random dragon attack in Riverwood.

      By choddo
I reckon Valve could well start to wrap up the PC game publishing market over the next couple of years. I can't be arsed to buy PC games any more because they cost a bit too much and I just don't generally have time. I don't bother to look at the PC shelf in Game any more.

But I've bought 3 games off Steam in the last 4 or 5 months (Sin Eps, Darwinia, X3:Reunion), for which the developers probably got more money than they would from a box anyway. I've hardly played them either, because of the time thing but I don't mind buying something for $20 which I'll just have a quick spin on every so often.

It's genius for convenience and price. And the fact that every HL2 or CS:s player is right in front of the advertisig channel is a nice bonus for the developers.

As I am coming to the end of my PS3 games that I really want to play, I realise I have not played a decent FPS for ages. So did some trawling round the shops and PSN, and there seem to be some bargains to be had. I'm after games with a good campaign, not bothered with MP, and I guess some servers will be gone now anyway. So I've grabbed
Borderlands 1 and 2 and The Orange Box, was looking to grab a couple more. Resistance 3 seems a solid bet, as does SIngularity for being a bit different. Was also going to grab a Crysis game, which is best, 2 or 3?
Any other suggestions of stuff I might be missing? I really enjoyed Spec Ops, but I can't think of a shooter that has grabbed me since CoD2 (I did play the Black Ops campaign as well). Didn't get on well with Far Cry Blood Dragon either.

      CGI announcement trailer:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVqxMCZ3u6k

      First proper trailer:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kA_Mx3-ZMGE

      Gameplay details from reddit Q&A:

      - Sniper rifle carried in case and needs to be assembled/packed up again rather than the magic pockets of Absolution
      - Hiding gun behind back when near NPCs from Blood Money returns
      - 'accident' hits for targets return
      - minimap now tells you where disguises are effective
      - full-screen map also returns with points of interest marked
      - Diana gives updates over the earpiece e.g telling you movements of the target
      - some comedy disguises seem to be back
      - alerts can trigger lockdowns - civvies leave the area and security conduct a sweep, after which everything returns to normal. These can be triggered strategically e.g by activating fire alarms
      - guards alertness indicated by yellow/red markers over their heads
      - certain guards are 'observant' meaning they will bust your disguise more easily. This is often logical, such as head-of-security knowing all his staff. These guards are marked on the minimap to avoid trial and error.
      - metal detector checkpoints return
      - save anywhere instead of checkpoints
      - guards can find mines you've places and will take them away for investigation (much like guards finding your specialist guns lying around in Blood Money and taking them back to the security room).
      - a form of 'Instinct' seem to return, like Batman's detective vision, highlighting points of entry/egress and guards.
      - shoving people returns. Including over railings.
      - throwing objects seems to have returned
      - choose weapons and equipment before entering a level
      - David Bateson voicing 47 again
      - Gameplay closest to Blood Money out of any game in the series

      "More Blood Money than Absolution"

"Going by the initial presentation, Hitman appears to be the game fans have been waiting for since 2006's Hitman: Blood Money, with huge sandbox environments and an unprecedented amount of opportunities to assassinate your target"

      Announcement blurb:
