Did you have a recognised word as a password?

No idea if I'm honest but probably. I don't know what my XBL one is as set it up yonks ago (Yep, I said yonks - I want that word brought back)

I tried to access that EA Creation centre on a PC last night. I blame Pants for suggesting I use it to check out player stats for the FTL league) and this morning I woke up to the issue so it's likely

Anyway - this converstation with you is making me uncomfortable as I don't like talking with dead people

Do you play ultimate team wincho? Apparently a lot of people were getting hacked from playing this. I just gave it a try for a week and some git did it to me. He sold all my team and bought loads of packs. 24 days later I got my account back with a free month of Xbox live and a downloadable game Allan wake. Which I never downloaded so if it's still available does anyone want it here?

Thy just told me to create a new gamertag and you get a free month trial with that. Keeps you going while you wait.

Before I fade to black, can I just suggest 'Alright Winko' as your temporary 1 month gamertag. I don't expect a friends request of course. *sniff*

I've created a new gamertag thanks Tris but the only two games I play are Fifa and MW3 and both online play codes are redeemed against my locked account

Alan Wake is great btw. You should download it

Sorry to hear it dude.

I know this won't help you now, but with regards to passwords I don't think enough people understand the importance of individual passwords for every site. I not long ago went and changed them all for everything I use.

It's obviously an arse trying to remember them so instead, use a combo of set letters from the URL mixed in with a code.
Eg for Rllmuk you might use Wrilnlcmh - that's Winch interspersed with rllm. And similarly, the BBC website would be Wbibnccch. The extra c is from 'com'.

You can also buy a new EA pass from the Marketplace -about a fiver I think. Annoying, but depends how desperate you are to play over the next month.

When I contacted ea about my code they said it was registered to the Xbox and not the gamertag and although I had a couple of issues initially it worked fine after that.

Allan wake is 6gb download and I only have 1 gb left :(

I've been playing on the new tag I created so you may well be correct (and there was some initial faffing before it would work - not sure what I did but 'transfer licence' rings a bell whether that had anything to do with it) I don't know how this wizardry works and keep expecting it to boot me off the servers when it realises!

I contacted EA to ask them to sort me out for a month and they e-mailed back immediately asking for details of my new gamertag and evidence that I bought a brand new copy of Fifa. Seemed like they would sort it once I got this stuff back to them but if it is registered to my xbox then I should be fine anyway

I fully expect to have problems going back to my original gamertag but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it! For now I am known as 'Alright Winko'

Found this in my inbox...

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I am sorry for the delay in responding to you.

I'm sorry to hear you are still experiencing difficulties, and apologize for any inconvenience. There is no need for a new Online Pass code.Just re-download Online Pass from Xbox marketplace.
Go to Account Management.
Choose Transaction Management.
Go to the Download List and find the Online Pass you are trying to validate.
Re-download and reinstall the content.

If you have any other questions, then by all means feel free to let us know.

Regards,

Mohit

Electronic Arts World Wide Customer Experience

Should be no problem switching back to your old gamertag it was fine for me. Just expect nothing back from Xbox for 25 days, as they refused to discuss anything with me until the investigation was over.

If anyone hasn't heard yet, I might suggest buying "Little Racers Street" from the xbox indie store for 80 MS Points. Fantastic circuit based car game similar to Micro Machines & Trackmania. It's got online for about 12 players as well if anyone fancies a few games, it's all skills no frills.

Check the thread in Discussion if you want to know more.

Looks pretty funky.

Is the online reliable, or is it at an EA level of flakiness?

I've had zero lag but it does tend to drop frames every now and then. But! It's extremely well supported, there's tonnes of update, feedback and feature changes.

I'm sure I also read you need Internet connection to play it regardless if you are doing single player or not. That aside, it's 80 MS points, the price of an iPhone app! Superb game.
