Much better tonight. Played team hardcore all night and despite the title, it seems a lot easier and fairer than normal mode.

And 1887 shotguns akimbo are my favourite gun in the whole game now! Much lols were had!

That's what hurt the most about prestiging, losing those babies. Such ridiculous guns, mad power, stupid range, fantastic animations. What more could you ask for? I miss them. <_<

I'm terrible at hardcore. You die easily enough in normal, but at least you have the radar and killcam to give you enough information to outsmart your foes. On HC its all a bit too wild west for me  I find it harder than COD4 HC

Is there some way to join a game that other people are playing?

I'm sure I have done it before with people on my friends list, but I don't get the option when I scan through peeps on the RllmukMW2 list.

If there's no "Join Session in Progress" it just means the game is full.

I had some cracking games of FFA last night. I scored 24 kills on Rust and still finished 4th. I've started to feel a lot of love for Rust now, when I started playing FFA it was my least favorite. The little complex of passage ways under the structure in the middle is always a good spot for some stabbing.

What's everones take on the m16? Not a fan in normal but in hardcore with a scope and silencer it's brutal!

If you like the M16 in hardcore, give the FN FAL a try. The M16 has always been a ridiculous gun, I simply can't use burst fire weapons, I'll learn one day but eh.

I went 19-1 yesterday on Wasteland of all places in a game of hardcore team deathmatch, using the m16 with holographic and silencer. Was amazing. Called in a harrier and everything, which hovered over the central bunker (which we occupied at this point), picking off anyone dumb enough to pop their head up or rush for the bunker.

I unlocked the Stinger yesterday, itís so good. I rarely carry it in FFA games but in Deathmatch itís invaluable. With my perks and the stinger enemy air support is no longer a threat.

Yeah I started carrying one about yesterday and the amount of times it would come up in the top right corner 'Sergeant Squid has destroyed (insert flying thing here)' must have made the other team cry. On skidrow, for instance, they called in two harrier strikes one after the other, didn't hit anyone with the bombs and then I shot both out of the sky. Was beautiful :D.

I started using it last night for the first time and I love it. Even when I first started using it without any attachments I found it a very good weapon. Will be using it for the majority of games now I think.

I use it with the holo sight and silencer currently. Will also make a loadout with the acog for maps like Underpass and Derail.

Is it just me or is the stinger usually a bit finicky about locking on?
I don't mean after firing, I mean actually getting a tracking tone in the first place - A couple of times I've just pointed at the target and not heard anything.

I've not had any problems with the stinger at all, really. I don't understand the Javelin, though. The decsription says 'location and vehicle lock on', but what locations?

Point it at the ground anywhere for an explosion about the same as a predator missile. It's pretty good!

I got five kills with a predator missile yesterday!

The Stinger has been doing some weird shit for me recently, mostly just completely spazzing off and flying in fucking circles before flying out of the map, this is without flares and after a lockon, it's fucking annoying. Earlier today it flew through a helicopter, went straight up in the air then changed it's mind, did a 180 and came back and destroyed it! Mental things.

What's the difference between the red dot sight and the holographic one?

I believe the holographic one zooms in a bit? Apparently, I haven't got one yet :(

Can you stick C4 to a riot shield?

This is very important!

Don't know about the c4. Are you thinking of turning one of your team mates into a suicide bomber? :(

The holo sight zooms in a bit more than the red dot but the holo sight is a bit larger and obscures more of your view, but I believe it enlarges your circle of effective fire as a result, or something.

I prefer the holo, either way.

Won't C4 on a shield be liable to explode if someone shoots it?

What's the difference between the red dot sight and the holographic one?

Not much I don't think, but I prefer the red dot for added accuracy.

Must track down a game with people I know someday, especially as I've only really done team deathmatch so far.

From what I can tell so far the holo sight groups better as it almost compensates for recoil, wheras the red dot is just a glorified iron sight and thus makes recoil very apparent but is far smaller and thus allows for more precision. I use red dot on the AK + SCAR, holo on the M4 and TAR. The differences are there but they seem to suit different weapon types.

Me neither. I keep testing the two trying to see if the holo zooms further but if it does, I can't see it. Interesting idea about the recoil though. I just go with red dot now as I'm used to it from CoD4 and the holo is a bit weird somehow. :)

Even if there is little difference it's all about feel. I liked the holograhic sight on my famas but find it annoying on the acr so just have a red dot instead. I'm still a bit unsure about the javelin, I am sure it can be powerful but i've yet to find a time to use it for any great effect without getting shot.
