I didn't know either until this weekend. I'm dying to say this, even though it will surely show me up as a total dick:- machine drum mentioned it backstage at sonar on Saturday night after we played on the same stage at sonar, along with hudson mohawke and some other label mates, to 5000 people.

:P

yass!

sorry, I just don't think I'll get the chance to say something like that very often :o

Travis is alright, used to be a regular on IRC until he got more successful. I've done a few remixes for his stuff. It's good to see him branch out a bit, but you can defo feel his influence in there.

PS: go on namedrop, haha.

Its in Shoreditch.. I think a few of the RBMA gigs were there. Yeah. That one has me interested- 9 till 5 is a bit of an endurance test, though!

As long as the lineup is as strong as the show they did at Fabric earlier in the year I'm sure it won't be too much of a challenge

Probably old news but loving this Illum Sphere track:

[yt]RjScf4Zt_7Y[/yt]

It's on the criminally short Fantastic Mr.Fox FACT mix

Stumbled onto Grooveman Spot (aka DJ Kuo-g) via Dam-Funk's excellent Future Sound of Modern Funk mix for Mary Anne Hobbs. His new album Change Situations flips between fat synth funk and Slum Village style mellow electronic hip-hop. Shame it's so expensive to import the cd. Here is the official promo vid and a couple of album highlights:

He's moving away from the slower stuff and making some really nice wobbly hardcore/house.

C-Beams from the new Pariah EP is lovely:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mNOFOS5GNo

Crossed Out is some nice floaty Joy Orbison style business too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX_tFYn2Dks

The EP (and his previous R&S single) are on Spotify, amongst another Pariah's releases.

The new Soul Jazz "Future Bass" compilation is streaming over at XLR8R, loads of new tracks from Four Tet, Mala, Untold, Ramadanman etc. I've listened through twice now and it's excellent stuff, the Ginz track is my favourite at the moment; total and utter dirt.

Stream here: http://www.xlr8r.com/news/2010/09/stream-new-future-bass-compilati

01. Mala - Don't Let Me Go
02. Four Tet - Nothing To See
03. Untold - Fly Girls
04. Coki - Ransom
05. Ramadanman - Bass Drums
06. Black Chow - Air
07. LD - Mastermind
08. V.I.V.E.K - Talking Shadows
09. Randomer - Puzzled
10. Ginz - Boss
11. Harry Craze - Gone
12. Distal - Grape Donut
13. Sub Version - Free To Funk

After poking around on the net it's only £8.99 on triple Vinyl with free P&P at HMV and Amazon which is clearly ridiculous value. Out next week I think.

Grievous Angel's a badman, but there's something about the name "Future Garage" that is all wrong. It's a bit Intelligent Jungle.

Very nice indeed, that one had passed by my radar too.

At the other end of the spectrum, I caught this on a recent Electronic Explorations. Crank it up loud:

Blue Daisy vs TOKiMONSTA - USD

Disgusting.
