Renly!? You bastard.

Renly was a great charismatic leader who inspired loyalty from all his subjects.

He was a bit gay too, admittedly.

On the topic of teams, I think the quality drops off far too quickly to be honest. The final season is always a bit messed up due to lack of quality and when you add suspensions and injuries into the mix I fear it'd be a chore to play with them.

I'd be happy to revert back to the old system. Though the injuries/suspensions may screw a few over.

The old way was better, even in 1vs1 games, I feel Fifa is more fun with shit teams.

Fantastic vid Mike, cracked up at the Mackenie bit.

Also...

Game of BAP

United - House Stark
Ryanski - Osha - Wildling.

I actually came in here to put something forward to the group. The current team selection is shite. I propose we return to our old way of workings through the teams, it was far more fun than what we are currently doing which is regurgitating the same teams every two seasons. Using the likes of USA and Turkey where some of my most fondly remembered season. How do other people feel about this?

Aye I'm the same. Recycling the same teams is getting boring already, and I always thought the best seasons were with the shitter sides. The injuries oughtn't have too much of an impact - squad sizes in the lower rated teams contain just the same number of players and most are 70+ rated which is still a decent standard. We should at least try it before writing it off.

Joffry?! Surely Athletic would be the Lannisters with the current crown. Great video apart from that though!

Is the group discussing changing the team picking as its seems a lot of people feel the same as I?

If we are talking about bringng it back in, it would be great to have it in place instantly! Meaning we wouldn't have the same teams we had two seasons ago but some fresh faces for all!

Yeah it's being voted on as we speak, and so far it's looking likely that it will come back for the season coming up. Still needs more votes but there are people still left to decide.

Injury stats update:

122 Injury reports
43 actual injuries
9 of those resulted in over 1 week layoff

Most reported players:
7 - Mata (Rovers) resulting in 6 weeks out
6 - Aguero (Athletic) resulting in 2 weeks out
5 - Pastore (Athletic) resulting in 1 week out
5 - Pedro (Rovers) resulting in 6 weeks out

Unluckiest player:
Babel (City) 3 reports, 2 injuries leading to 11 weeks out.

Team stats:
Team.......Reports..Injuries..%age...AvgLayoff
----------------------------------------------
Town.......17.......11........65%....1.18
Rovers.....29.......11........38%....2.36
City.......24.......8.........33%....2.25
Athletic...22.......7.........32%....1.00
United.....19.......4.........21%....1.00
Wanderers..11.......2.........18%....2.00

For info:
The chance of a report resulting in a lay off is 30%. The chance of a report resulting in a layoff of over 1 week is 10%.
The actual stats are 35% of reports resulting in lay off and 7.37% of reports resulting in a lay off of over 1 week.

Tap up fees

With immediate effect tap ups are to be a flat 6m regardless of rank.

The general consensus was that tap-up fees have been too low for too long. The tap fees were never increased when the ratings system was altered a few seasons ago, but a majority voted for an increase on those figures too. £6m seemed to be that crucial amount.

It should protect teams who are trying to hold onto star players and attempting to build a team around them, whilst also giving more a satisfactory and fair compensation for them if a tap does come in.

Sith was the only person* who ever wanted higher tap up fees until Outsider was tapped last season and then there was an uproar.

*RAFA-FACT

The tap fees were never increased when the ratings system base funding was altered a few seasons ago last season

Just seems to make the league a little less colourful and reduces the chance of drama. If you keep getting your players tapped, maybe you need to look at making your team more fun to play for.

It's true dat the Outsider move seems to have stirred up some feelings of ill-will towards how taps are employed. Some think they're fun and good for the league, allowing movement for people who wants to change teams. Some think the effect and frequency of their happening should be toned down a bit, for the fairness of all the teams. It seems the latter was more favoured in the current climate.

Just so everyone is aware, the Steering Group has been round the houses and back again over this issue trying to find the best solution. We've pretty extensively covered every base.

The way I see it is as follows

Players should be able to force a move, £6million seems excessive and will probably kill the drama of the transfer window.

However that being said we could have a two tier tap system whereby disgruntled or want away players use the old b/s/g values and for others it's the flat £6million rate

How would players be justified in being disgruntled/want away?

At the start of the season managers agree with each player what positions they'll play and how many times they will play there. At the end of the season each player will have a percentage of contract met (played in preferred position) and if it's below a threshold the player can post a big rant in the rumour thread and proclaim to be disgruntled, however if they have been played in their preferred position they can't be disgruntled and if they get tapped it's £6million.

If a manager can't agree a "Position" contract at the start of the season the player can invoke a disgruntled status by default.

Ultimately the player doesn't have to declare his unhappiness if his contractual agreement is not met. The position contract can be as vague as "in defence" or "in attack" or "anywhere" if they really don't give a fuck.

It's just a fag packet idea full of holes but it gives a bit of power back to players if managers aren't playing them where they want or they want to engineer a move away

Looks like there might be a big update to the dash, just a heads up before tomorrow night's games.
