I'm not sure whether the different characters for the respective demos are liable to make a difference, but the pad likely will.

I had a go at besting my score last night but didn't manage to even break three million. I'll have another bash this evening and see how I get on, but I suspect Jimmy will find himself top of the boards until Feb!

Some tips:
Pace yourself - theres never a great need to rush, but simply to know which enemy to take out next. Learn a pattern and stick to it. Sprint doesn't really need to be used all that often.
Use the signs as moments of rest - as soon as you are next to one, make sure you have near to a full clip and get positioned into a good spot to get moving to the next section before shooting it - it refills the whole of the combo timer, so they are very useful.
Use bullets sparingly and aim for the head - pump lots of bullets into exploding barrels.
Learn the enemy spawns
Turn 90 degrees at right angle corners and barrel roll sideways to get the "death roll" bonus on the enemies in the next corridor.
As an example; do this right at the start: face the "Dragov" graffiti. Barrel roll sideways and shoot the first enemy. Barrel roll forwards and shoot the 2nd enemy at the end of the corridor. Reload. Pause. Look at the sign straight ahead. Position yourself. When ready, shoot it, turn 90 degrees left and barrel roll into the next section...

I found another signpost but I dont really know how to make the best use of it at the moment. Theres a contest going on at the moment with this demo in Aussieland for some cash prize. Highest score so far has been 12million!

Ive also started getting a few more bonuses. One called a "Rico-Slay" which I dont really know how that works but I can get them on those shielded guys, and Multi-Kills using barrels.
I've also noticed that the flaming barrels are not actually that random and if you shoot them twice so it bleeds a little fuel they will blow up eventually, creating a delayed reaction after you've moved on.
So much hidden depth in this.

One I got on the shielded guys was Penetrator for shooting through the little window at the top.

However multiplayer isnt really what draws me, its single event score attack at the moment, they have done a good job of capturing what was fun about PGR and transplanting it into this game.
cant wait to get home and try some more score attacks.

Maybe we should stick to a certain game type to get scores on. Any suggestions?

Right, I dunno if fatoy is bothered about updating this but he can't delete it as he's not a super member so if it's cool I'll make a new thread and get a mod to merge them?

Sounds good. I'd recommend Sprint or Run the Gauntlet stages from the earlier levels. Also stick to one difficulty level - Insane or Real would be my preference.
A Bridge to Far (Venice) is a good level, as it's quite long so there should be a fair bit of room for improvement. My current score on Insane is 5,919,662.

I sat up til 2.30am this morning trying to beat MW Jimmy's score as he had bumped me down to third on view to a mill, I managed to nab 1st though after ages of trying to get the combos and head shots to all fall into place, this game is digital crack.
