Bad news everyone. Well, bad for me, and good for your wallets, because it's looking unlikely that I'll be able to come and fleece you of all you money. We're training our baby to sleep in her own cot right now, which means I'm only getting a couple of hours sleep a night and can't be spared from early evening onwards.
I'm disappointed, because I was looking forward to meeting Alan and j.m. Hopefully I'll get another chance some other time.

damnit! I was hoping to meet you finally. personally, I think it's because steve's has clued you into my awesome american poker "skillz" and you don't want to lose all of your funny coloured money! :( still, it's a shame that you won't be there.

:(

What if I put a teat on one of Jim's ciders?

what if you get a british supermodel instead? (graham's daughter can have my cider, and I'll take the supermodel's teat) ;)

Just a reminder that this is on for Sat. Aim to get to mine for around 7:30pm for an 8pm start. Room for people to stay over/have naps. Off-licence nearby for drink.

Sent directions by PM where required. Let me know if anyone else needs any.

Bring your money.

Thanks to all for coming and making it one sweet night of poker. You know what's FTW? Going all-in with 79o against Jx and flopping 779, with another 9 on the turn and a J on the river. That's FTW. Sorry, Pootle. :(

Thanks as ever to Commander Jameson for his fine brand of hospitality. It was especially nice to meet a few new faces; I get bored of the same old rubbish ones I normally see at these things. Thanks to everyone for a great evening/early morning.

You know what's FTW?

Yep: super-awesome brownies.

Great event hosting, would've loved to have squeezed in a game of snooker somewhere but did alright in the poker so can't complain. Even enjoyed my walk along the river and upto farringdon road for the nightbus too.

Good to meet the new faces, I did mean to take a couple of pics to do a 'who's who from the forum' retrospective, although I know which one was j.m.ratkos so that's all that matters anyway ;)

Great night in all - gutted the 2nd game I went out on the river. Yea my J3 did fuck all and to rub it in the last card you turned was a bloody J! The last one was a killer though - 2 club cards in hand and 2 on the flop - thought my chances were good till you turned 2 non club cards and got the 4 you needed. Ouch indeed. But first win in the money in 3rd so can't complain :D Also playing half asleep helped me knock out a few in the process till I kinda woke up :D

Was great to see some familiar faces once more and a few new ones. Oh and Thush? For beating me and giving me your Wii PSU as a peace offering is most kind of you after the one I had blew up ;)

my sentiments echo everyone else's. a good time was had by all, and even though I only won while playing that the "casual" table, it was great to finally put some faces with the handles that I see here day in and day out.

cheers to alan for the most excellent cider beverages as well! ;)

[wishing that I had remembered my camera as well :D]

I'll give Poet a buzz and sort the details out. For me, I will be there from 30 July to 4/5 Aug.

Definitely up for some poker. I'm free most weekends in June I think, although July gets a little more tricky.

Erm, I'm in London next week, if anyone's interested then. Preferrably early-ish in the day, as I can't play into the wee hours, as it's one of those "family" holidays.

Edit: Friday would be best for me, as we're heading home on Saturday. Thinking I might try the 50 freezeout in the Vic on the Thursday, too. Anyone have any idea on the structure for that? Like, starting chips and blind structure?

15th of June, you mean? I may be available for it. I'd only play one or two games, though, as I'd have to keep it schtum with the folks, as I don't often travel with them these days, and the idea of meeting up with a bunch of people on the internet to play poker wouldn't sit well with them, being the paranoid internet-phobes they are. ;) What stakes do ye play for? I assume it's tournaments, and not cash games, or am I mistaken? My poker funds have taken a beating since my break from the game for the last month or so, so cash games are out of the question. <_<

Of course, if anyone feels like playing the 50 freezeout in the Vic on Thursday the 14th, I'd be more than happy to join ye, as I'll definitely play that (assuming it has a playable structure, which I'm unable to discover online, I don't know how I'll find out).

Also, is the location of this home game relatively central? Not sure where we're staying, but it's safe to assume it's right in the middle of London.

Stakes are low (5 or 10) per tournament (it's more for fun than the money). Usually start around 7:30pm - 8pm in Wapping. We normally play 3 tournaments (about 2 hours each) finishing on Sat morning.

Yes. Fri 15 June. <_<
