We'll definitely get something going for the 13th j.m. -- looking forward to it.

For this Sunday, Kate and my friend Nick are both in if we've got enough numbers to go ahead.

Next game date: Sat 13 Jan 2007 at mine in Wapping.

Keep the date free for a j.m.ratkos special event.

Gents, is this an open invite? I'd like to come down and buy Jim a proper pint of beer as a thanks for all the crap he puts up with. I can just about handle myself at hold 'em, but I thought i'd check in case it was a closed thing.

NO MODS PERMITTED.

At risk of speaking on behalf of the host: Of course you're welcome Alan, the games are open to whoever fancies joining in. It'll be good to have a new face at the table.

As for the 13th, I'll definitely be there, and I imagine Kate will be up for it to. I'll ask around the usual rabble too. Hopefully we can get a good turnout.

Cheers Billy. Pending Jameson approval, can somebody suggest a hotel/B&B?

I'll try and come out of poker retirement for j.m. Go easy on me. What are the rules, again?

Why are you going to London to play poker. It is not Monaco or Las Vegas.

ledge:
actually, I'm on holiday for a week and chose to badger the country of england once again. the poker party is just a nice way of meeting some of the people from here on the forum face to face (and also to relieve cmdr jameson of some of his worldly possessions like his plasma tele. :()

The more the merrier, Alan.

We can certainly do a couple of tables of poker.

It would be brilliant to do another multi-table game if we can get the numbers. The last one was great fun.

I'm sure you can stay over at mine. I've got enough space.

Naturally! -_-

j.m and Pootle are going to the West 'Aaaam game in the afternoon, so we will aim for a 7-7:30 start, get some pizzas in and play on until late/early.

So, just drink and any snacks if you have any favourites.

Perfick. I'll be getting the train down from Lancashire by 'eck etc, so an evening start sounds spot on.

Edit: tickets booked. Looks like i'll be going home on the Sunday 1st class - that was the cheapest option(!). I'll get to London for about 1pm for a mooch around - if anyone wants to meet earlier for drinks or whatever then give me a shout.

As I'm Mr. Pootle's +1, I just thought I'd stop by and say hi!

...

Hi! -_-

if someone can grab me a 4-pk of strongbow, I'll be happy to reimburse them when we show up seeing as I'm not sure how much "free time" we'll have on my day of arrival between arriving, waiting in the glorious queue known as hell (gatwick customs) :D, the west ham game and then rushing to get to jameson's place.

Bad news everyone. Well, bad for me, and good for your wallets, because it's looking unlikely that I'll be able to come and fleece you of all you money. We're training our baby to sleep in her own cot right now, which means I'm only getting a couple of hours sleep a night and can't be spared from early evening onwards.
I'm disappointed, because I was looking forward to meeting Alan and j.m. Hopefully I'll get another chance some other time.

That's a shame Graham, I was looking forward to catching up. Hopefully you can make it along to another game sometime soon for old time's sake.

Sorry to hear that, Graham. We'll arrange some more games soon. Hope you can join in one of those again.
