  1. Formula One - 2015 Season

Sounds like they regs don't set a temperature that the pressure is measured at... If so that's bananas.
  2. Formula One - 2015 Season

"Having heard from the Technical Delegate, the Team Representatives and the Pirelli Team Tyre engineer, the Stewards have determined that the pressure in the tyres concerned were at the minimum start pressure recommended by Pirelli when they were fitted to the car. In making this determination regarding the pressures, the Stewards noted that the tyre warming blankets had been disconnected from their power source, as is normal procedure, and the tyres were significantly below the maximum permitted tyre blanket temperature at the time of the FIA’s measurement on the grid, and at significantly different temperatures from other cars measured on the grid. Further, the Stewards are satisfied that the team followed the currently specified procedure, supervised by the Tyre Manufacturer, for the safe operation of the tyres. Therefore the Stewards decide to take no further action. Nevertheless, the Stewards recommend that the Tyre Manufacturer and the FIA hold further meetings to provide clear guidance to the teams on measurement protocols."

I was at Silverstone this weekend for the WEC opener. Between that, the F3 and ELMS I saw nearly 12 hours of racing that was pretty much non-stop action up and down the field. After 201 flat-out laps of the WEC, there were a handful of seconds between a top three that were all different manufacturers with totally different technology approaches. 20 incredible laps in the middle where the leaders ran nose-to-tail and the lead swapped 2-5 times each lap, as they battled each other and dealt with moving through the other classes. Then I listened to the F1 on the way home and it's just whining about not being able to overtake your teammate and Maldonado crashing in the pitlane.

After 4 racing laps, Hamilton is now 1/3rd of the way to lapping Button...

Who had 0.5 seconds in the 2015 Time To Maldonandlol sweepstake?
  8. Formula One - 2014 Season

Some numbers to consider if double points decides things. Of the 10 Mercedes 1-2 finishes this year (which seems like a good way of looking at the races where they actually competed with each other without reliability issues), only two have Rosberg on the top step. They were Monaco and Austria, where Hamilton started 9th having cocked up qualifying. Rosberg has converted two of his 9 pole positions into a win. Lewis has converted 6 of his 7 (the failure was his retirement in Australia). Hamilton leads 10-4 in wins. Rosberg has never started behind Hamilton and finished ahead.

Happy hour at the local fish market.
  10. Formula One - 2014 Season

"Rosberg extending his lead", not noticing it was 3 seconds after the pit stop and coming down half a second a lap.
  11. Formula One - 2014 Season

The thought is that he's stopped nursing them because he's going to stop again so doesn't need to make these last.
  12. Formula One - 2014 Season

Is this all on the Sky feed? BBC haven't even noticed Bianchi is out. What's happened? Ugh.
  13. Forza Horizon 2

    This game is brilliant.
