The 'in the wild' Pokemon tracking is a lot more responsive apparently, refreshes every 10 seconds and the Pokemon at the front of the list is the nearest. Also if you are on the bus/tram etc you have to dismiss this menu with "I'm a passenger!"

You just toss them way off screen and they come back and clonk them on the head and all is good. An excellent spinning throw is a joyful thing when it comes off.

I went to Paris and visited this place: It was a place my brothers had visited a little while back and they interviewed the owner - if you're interested the video is here:

Yeah all of it. Found it all for a tenner including the game.

I've done the Ivory King fight now, which is weird as I sort of regret not farming Loyce Souls in the first half of that fight now. I've got this incredibly large club (Smelter Hammer?) that floors the Charred Loyce Knights with a heavy attack, so I can handle the three at a time that now spawn but my word it's tediously slow. Anyway I went and kicked Vendrick's ass and then nothing. The Ashen Mist Vendrick is pretty cool. Oh right, reading afterwards you're suppose to go back to the Shrine of Amana and pick up his crown and then go back to Ashen Mist heart Vendrick to get some closure. RIGHT THEN, that's obvious, not. Still have the frozen wasteland to do and I suppose I should go check out the irritating ??? areas where I've missed bonfires. Some of the bosses have been really satisfying, just the right mix of skill & patience and grind. I took down Fume Knight with a sliver of health left, same with Vendrick actually - he was on barely anything and I could either heal or swing - now in this game it's ALWAYS heal, right? But that moment it was like - fuck! If I heal and he clips me or whatever I'm dead and just just take this you bastard! Boom. I think my favourite recent moment was when you encounter the white phantom who rushes off and is really leading you to the white covetous Demon to fuck you over. The assassin dude. I tried a couple of times to lay him out before he runs off but he scarpered. So I swapped weapons around and went for the poison stone buffed Manslayer katana. I get a toxic cloud on his head as he's waving to me, nail a few hits and I run off the bridge quickly, which is where he had been getting away from me before. But not this time, he's slow as fuck, so I start slashing at him and he starts hitting me back instead of just running. We're both down to low health and I'm thinking shit is he now gonna run off, the little shit, so I back up warily to heal up and he keels over dead from poison. Yusss!

What's your limit? Getting the tram into work is pretty fun as when Pokemon appear you not only have to nab them quickly, but I find myself trying to frantically get them captured before I reach the next pokestop. It's quite the change of pace from sitting at the bus stop or just walking and staring at an empty screen.

I have never seen a 10k egg, so presumably they are only from Pokestops?

Articuno news is mad. What a world. Caught a 1111cp Magmar today on the way home from work. The.n went past a red gym, well actually went out of my way to go there and there were three dudes huddled around - they spotted me and asked which team I was. "Red!" I said, "great!" And we levelled it up to about 6. Fun times. Then on the way home with the kids in the evening my son asks can we put our Pokemon as King of a gym he saw, and we could and we did and he was well pleased and it was great.

That Articuno thing is fake as all fuck. "Shigeru Miyamoto came to my house and gave me a special version of Super Mario World with Mario and his long lost brother Bario, but I can't show you it except this picture of Mario with his hat coloured in brown."

Right. You can hold/claim from up to 10 gyms (if you were insane/amazing) per lockout period, which is 21 hours I think. The coins are worth about 79p for 100 in real life terms, so fairly irrelevant, but the stardust (500 per gym per collect) is ok. If u can grab a gym quick and claim once a day it's easier than catching 5 Pokemon I suppose. Well it's in addition, so.

I use curveballs every time now as it's a fraction more fun.

First day back at work today, caught a Magmar on the tram. Also hatched a Pikachu from a 2km the other day, well pleased. When you press on him he says "Pikachu!" In idiot news I have twice, twice! evolved Ghastly when I already have a Haunter. Derp.

Ok I finished the main game. Never visited the place over from Huntsman Copse except that one time I ran over the bridge and fell through a missing slat and died. Haha. I will go back, it's only that runaway train boss. Anyway, found the DLC cheap and I went through it all (well haven't finished it fully yet) blind, only reading anything after I'd either tried it a few times or was sure e.g. "there's clearly a bonfire nearby but where?" or checking for missed secrets. Blimey it's great isn't it. Some of the original areas were like, I really did not like them. I mean I didn't like being in them. There wasn't much of that here. I'm about half way through Ivory King now. Very enjoyable. Then, finally, on to 3!
